  1. Chris' 2021 Cactus Grey XLT 4x4 "Overland" build

All the stuff you've done with your truck looks great! If you can find a link to the actual letters you ordered, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
  2. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

    Sprayed in bedliner.
  3. Support group for those waiting for their Ranger MY22

Nothing like a dealer that doesn't know his product. The 2023 is not the new design / new model. Make sure you are price protected. The truck is worth the wait. I ordered the end of February and took delivery 8 days ago.
  4. Which Dealer To Order From?

Without additional manufacture (ie Ford) cash back offers, there's not 5K to get below MSRP on a 35K MSRP Ranger. Even with Granger's 3% below invoice, you are looking at a little over 2K off MSRP. FYI, I just took delivery from Granger on a Feb 2022 order. There was 5K for me, but it was $2250...
  5. Unscheduled Lariat 2022 orders LED headlight delete - is $500 credit enough?

To close my loop on this post (I started it), I still thing the $500 credit was too low for the LED headlight / LED fog light removal. But having done my 2000 mile drive back to CA from picking up my truck from Granger in Iowa, I found the HID halogens to still provide good nighttime lighting...
  6. 3% Under Invoice - 2022 Ford Ranger Order

Props to Granger for a great deal and a great buying experience.
  7. CACTUS GREY Ranger Club Thread

New truck / new trailer (picked up in Oklahoma) upon arrival yesterday following the 2000 mile drive home from Granger. The trailer was not bought to match color wise - it just lucked out to be that color as it's just as bad finding new horse trailers for sale as in stock Rangers. This was...
  8. Floor liners

Ok, thanks. My carpet liners are now in the empty Husky box up in the garage attic, with the Husky liners right on the carpet as they should have been in the first place before I asked a silly question
  9. Floor liners

I just got my new 22 SCAB Lariat. Is everyone taking out their carpet mats first and then installing the WT or Husky mats, or just putting the mats over the carpet mats the truck comes with? I suppose you will get a flatter fit taking out the carpet mats, but when my wife was assisting with the...

Worth the wait - new truck and new horse trailer both home this morning. The whole buying experience from Granger was great (minus the wait, not Granger's control or fault). Paperwork electronically signed last Thursday morning; late Thursday non stop flight to Des Moines [$130 total for two...
  11. Are there any hitch receiver lochs that don't seize / fail?

To close the loop on this, I went ahead and bought this for now: I'm bringing an empty horse trailer home on the final part of my drive back to CA from Granger, and this looked like the least likely to have the lock fall off or the cotter pin come out. Almost every other hitch pin had several...
  12. Are there any hitch receiver lochs that don't seize / fail?

I get that, Wow, never heard of that.

Your state may be different, but in my state (and most states) manufacture rebate is after sales tax is calculated - ie the state wants to tax that $1000.
  14. Are there any hitch receiver lochs that don't seize / fail?

Looking to buy a hitch receiver lock for my Ranger I take delivery next week. When I read the reviews, almost every product has 5 to 10 percent reviews where the lock seized or fell off or key broke or something. Any recommendations for products you've used with no issues?
  15. Support group for those waiting for their Ranger MY22

I'll be doing the same a week from Friday. New meaning to "fly / drive (vacation)".
  16. How many used their extended warranty for something worth while?

I bought an 8 yr / 120K $0 deductible extended warranty on my wife's 2007 Honda Odyssey for $1200. For me, five years of additional coverage at $240 per year was worth it if only for peace of mind. Covered items that came up were probably somewhere between $800 to $1200. We ended up keeping it...
  17. Support group for those waiting for their Ranger MY22

They haven't contacted me -- I just saw today via the order tracker it's at the dealer being prepped for delivery. I should probably call today while I still have the first 24 hours to cancel non-refundable tickets. When did they contact you to say your truck was in?
  18. Support group for those waiting for their Ranger MY22

Picking up from Granger? I'm flying in to pick mine up on 10/7.
  19. Support group for those waiting for their Ranger MY22

I didn't mean it that way when I said I "plan to [still] have it when I'm 90", but you're right. It may take until I'm 90 to get it the way it's going.
  20. Support group for those waiting for their Ranger MY22

My goal is definitely to still have the 2022 Ranger when I'm 90. The only reason I sold the Sport Trac is to be able to pull the horse trailer also being purchased. I expect about the same annual miles on the Ranger as it's basically just going to be a ranch truck for use when you need a truck.
