Are either of the 12v lighter sockets switched? Does anyone know the timing on them? I am trying to run a dash cam off one but don't want to drain the battery. It's a vantrue camera. I was going to hard wire it but the wiring kit i bought doesn't seem to be compatible. Trying to run it plugged...
Last car I bought i did via text message using Google voice. Save me driving around until I got the price I wanted. It also prevented them from calling me. I like the text message because I could move things at the pace I wanted and do research where needed. I also had documentation of any...
Yes. The first few minutes of the drive it's typically something about engine temp. Only once or twice have i seen it due to climate control. Battery charging has been the vast majority of times. That said I've only been watching it for about 3 weeks now.
Anyone know how accurate the noco genius2 battery percentage is? I only got the 2 amp one to keep it to a slow charge and because it was on sale. I plugged it in and it's saying my battery is around 25%. Reason I'm doubting it is that it says it's capable of 40Ah batteries and the ford one is an...
Will the lariat battery fit and work in the xlt? I'm assuming it would. Always a fan of having a larger battery if I can, especially knowing it doesn't get charged to 100%
Anyone know the CCA of the stock battery? I went to get it tested at an auto parts store and they had two different battery options for the 2019 ranger. Couldn't find CCA on the battery. Photo below.
Didn't think warranty would cover it. Had to ask. Looks like just the insulation is damaged, not the wire itself. I just wrapped it in electrical tape.
Anyone know what that wire is for? Guessing it has to do with the battery monitoring.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for all the small wires coming off the battery? I'll try to get a picture in the morning but one of the thin wires looks like it's been chewed. Also I'm guessing this isn't covered under warrantee?
Is this mouse damage or something else? No other signs.
Finally got my window decal put on. Also got heated drivers seat installed. Aftermarket heater $300 with professional install. I chickened out of doing it myself.
I had a recent issue in another vehicle where I had to show multiple years of documented mileage history. Essentially the DMV screwed up and put the wrong mileage on my title and refused to fix it unless I could show an official source from every year for the past several years. Thankfully I had...
Mine updated off USB without issue. Pulled the drive when it said to and the xml file was there. Uploaded to ford and the online portal is showing my system as up to date. 2019 XLT without navigation.
Thanks. I'll take a closer look. I got a quote at $350 to install a heated seat but the actual components are only around $150. So if I can do it myself I can save a good chunk of change. Now to figure out how the seat warmers actually connect...
Has anyone found a dealer or quality aftermarket place to install a heated seat? Preferably within a reasonable distance from Virginia Beach area. Contemplating trying it myself but terrified I'll damage the fabric.
If you enable the heated seats in FORSCAN (so that you get the seat option on the climate control screen) can you then control them from the touchscreen? I'm gradually researching trying to add heated seats and it doesn't seem like you can buy the seat switch by itself. Of course this is...
Any chance of getting the pin out for the driver seat harness that connects to the seat heater? Ideally also looking to trace where those wires connect to. I'm considering buying the heading mats and attempting the install but need to see if I even have a prayer of running the wires.
Is there a replacement part for the driver seat cushion pad and seat back pad with heat (KB3Z-21632A23-B, KB3Z-2164811-F) or if the heater element itself can be purchased separately? Trying to price out getting the components and then either installing myself finding a place.
Got mine installed today. No sticker. Maybe I just got lucky but it actually went in rather easily. Hard part was getting the torque wrench in. I had to grab a regular crescent wrench to get it almost completely in before I had room for a torque wrench. Less than 1/4 turn with the torque wrench...
