  1. New Truck, New Member...Allow myself to introduce....myself.

I've seen a few picture like that along with the same story as yours. Hope I never have to test the crash rating of my Forester. As to feeling a bit lady like behind the wheel...and this isn't a bag on the lesbian crowd, but Subaru did run a campaign a few years back marketing the Forester...
  2. Pre-Collision Assist Not Available

^^^^ I second this train of thought. 42 PSI is bit overinflated for an empty stock vehicle. If the system is as sensitive as it sounds...this may be the issue. Pretty easy to test.
  3. Added a few things to my Ranger yesterday. Should I get a leveling kit?

Looks nice! I had my truck spec'd with the Fox kit form Ford. VS the stock FX4 setup I feel it is a huge upgrade. The truck feels a bit more planted, and the stature is appropriate now, in my opinion. I felt that the stock suspension setup had a tendency to wallow a bit over bumps. It's got my vote.

No tea...stuffing a bigger turbo under the hood of a station wagon kind of thing. Nothing quite like a 300AWHP grocery getter...that has also been know to drag a stuck Jeep or two from a ditch.

Roger that. The Forester is my GF's daily...it does have all the go fast bits swapped from an STi though. So I got that going for me, which is nice. Lucky you. That white stuff is the worst! One mans opinion anyhow.

Thanks. Who could argue about a black Ford Pickup? I suppose I should have been more specific as to the Subaru crowd affiliation. There is a big distinction between the Subarus with hood scoops vs those without. Thanks! The tires are BFG AT K02 265/70/17....not holding my breath on CARB to make...

Haha! I read through that post...and for some reason I have to have one now. Thanks a lot.
  8. Regretting my new tires

Phil, Funny you mention this, because this is something I do reflexively when I buy a new car. I do it on my first drive home. Assuming of course, that the brakes are not bedded when the vehicle leaves the factory....how could they have been? I got into the habit years ago when doing brake...

Hey hey, just picked up my truck two days ago and want to join the gang. Hope that's cool. I already posted a few times while doing pre-buying research, but this is the official official first post. I usually hang with the Subaru crowd, and I love my Forester, don't hate. I have to have a truck...
  10. Regretting my new tires

Interesting, I ordered these with my truck and I really like them. Different strokes perhaps? If you are comparing the BFGs directly to the stock Dyna Pros, this may be the source of your woes. I'm not in any way suggesting that you haven't considered this but, the stock Hankooks are an on-road...
  11. Ford Performance Engine Calibration Compatibility With 2021 Models?

"CARB, ruining motoring in America since 1967." I do like your analogy though. Pretty much how I figured it goes around there.
  12. Ford Performance Engine Calibration Compatibility With 2021 Models?

Not quite. Came across a post from a guy with a 21 that tried...got a bunch of error codes and wasn't able to upload the tune. Seems that since Ford has the vIN tied to the tuning software somehow it knows that its not a 19-20 and says no bueno. I did however talk to Livernois today, and they...
  13. Ford Performance Engine Calibration Compatibility With 2021 Models?

I see what's going on here. That post you referenced is from Livernois, their tunes are apparently compatible with the 21s because they don't have to wait for permission form the California air nazis. *Off Road Use Only* Since Ford is labeling their tune as on road legal, they have to jump...
  14. Ford Performance Engine Calibration Compatibility With 2021 Models?

I'm not convinced. See my post above with the info direct from Ford Performance. Then again, nobody really seems to know what the deal is.
  15. Ford Performance Engine Calibration Compatibility With 2021 Models?

Just received a reply from Ford Performance. "Calibration upgrade is currently not available for the 2021 model year Rangers. The calibration will be released when CARB legal." No ETA.
  16. Ford Performance Engine Calibration Compatibility With 2021 Models?

Thanks. I fired off an email yesterday to get a jumpstart on things. If I get nowhere with whomever happens to read it, I'll shoot one over to the guy you talked to.
  17. Ford Performance Engine Calibration Compatibility With 2021 Models?

If it's just a short waiting game, I could get behind that. I was hoping to do a proper break in on the truck anyhow to get a feel for it as stock...then juice it up. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long.
  18. Ford Performance Engine Calibration Compatibility With 2021 Models?

Love to hear if anybody has barked up this tree yet? I saw a post buried in another thread suggesting that the Ford Performance engine calibration is not compatible with the 2021 models...yet. Lack of CARB compliance or something. Can anyone confirm this? If in fact true, have any of you been...
  19. Super Crew Rear Seat Delete?

Hey hey, this is something I've been looking into as well. I found a company doing some sweet stuff for the rest of the mini truck crowd. I talked to a guy over there last week, he told me that a rear seat delete for the Supercrew Ranger is in the works. Unfortunately, no ETA. In the meantime...
