  1. North Carolina Engine Umbrella for SALE?

If he doesn’t take it I will. Whatever the shipping may be
  2. Ranger compared to Subaru in snow

I grew up with knee deep to shoulder deep snows driving rear wheel drive cars. Hadn’t gotten into a 4x4 before I was 20. Many of my cars including a couple Camaros were shocking how good they actually were but the best was an 83 ranger. 2wd short bed with about 400 horse 302 in it. 60 series...
  3. Jeremiah’s “semi prerunner” build thread

I purchased the $45,000 ford boards
  4. Long Brake Travel

Abs bleed does not raise the pedal it gets rid of that vagueness. If you adjusted the pedal and did the bleed you would likely have no free play left before engagement
  5. Annoying honking

Lived in western Nebraska for 20+ years. Have done 75 mph or higher on many washboarded roads in everything from mustangs and Camaros up to 5 ton trucks. Yes it bounces your around. Never got scared. But then again I’ve dukes of hazarded a Camaro at 145 mph over a very raised railroad crossing...
  6. Long Brake Travel

I did the abs bleed on mine last night. Drove it today. OMG better. I hated the brakes before. They still are not going to surprise you but I’d guess 30% or more improvement. It now feels normal to me for a truck
  7. Stage 3 is hiring

They give you the truck in the pic to work there
  8. FIX YOUR MUSHY BRAKES

I can’t use my old elm327. No switch. So deleted my profile and should have a new adapter Tuesday. When I get in one of our acuras the first couple stops I make about throws everyone through the windshield. I don’t drive them much and really don’t like them.
  9. Ranger 5G - are there any grease fittings?

Manufacturers haven’t put them on most vehicles since the 1980s. If you find a 5th gen with one it’s an aftermarket part.
  10. Speed limited

Unless you’re going downhill then 114 is momentarily possible
  11. Report your MPG

21 lariat leveled on p265/70r18 a/t. Drive in whatever mode a feel like. Owned it 8 months tomorrow and has 3005 miles. Ford performance tune. 91 octane. 22.4 mpg mixed city/highway
  12. Ignition coil failed

My 07 f150 ate coils like candy. At 35,000 miles it had all 8 replaced.
  13. First road trip woes

Are you sure all sensors are clear? Inside middle of lower grill opening, bumper sensors and windshield camera? I had a bug on one and it freaked everything out on my first trip. Might even make sure the taillights are clear
  14. Show your (1st) old Rangers

1, 2 and 3 (getting a 5.0 transplant) had three or four other f100s and f150s in between
  15. 5th Gen Ranger Bed Dents Easily

I’d hate to guess how many times I’ve overloaded 60s 70s and early 80s pickups with steel til they were riding on the bump stops and not a dent. I wouldn’t dream of it in this truck
  16. Colorado Fires

We are still trying to get ahold of family up there. Great aunt and uncle in their mid 90s and a cousin. If we don’t hear from them today I may head up to stay at another cousins Brighton
  17. Were Rangers always off-road beasts?

I can guarantee you I never thought about off-roading my 85 with a 2.3. I was afraid something would fall off that gutless wonder. My 83 didn’t get off-roaded but it was a short bed 2wd std cab with manual steering and brakes. I had slapped a 302 in it from a 70 mustang. It was a handful
  18. What do you think? Autonomous or Not

I’ll be willing to bet I can stay away from it for a good long time
  19. 27+ week delay on '22 Ranger with Ford Spray in bedliner

It’s because of the microchip shortage. They have to mix one into the bedliner
  20. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

Oh don’t worry about it seizing up. Normally if that happens it breaks the joints or cv joints leaving parts on the road.
