I grew up with knee deep to shoulder deep snows driving rear wheel drive cars. Hadn’t gotten into a 4x4 before I was 20. Many of my cars including a couple Camaros were shocking how good they actually were but the best was an 83 ranger. 2wd short bed with about 400 horse 302 in it. 60 series...
Abs bleed does not raise the pedal it gets rid of that vagueness. If you adjusted the pedal and did the bleed you would likely have no free play left before engagement
Lived in western Nebraska for 20+ years. Have done 75 mph or higher on many washboarded roads in everything from mustangs and Camaros up to 5 ton trucks. Yes it bounces your around. Never got scared. But then again I’ve dukes of hazarded a Camaro at 145 mph over a very raised railroad crossing...
I did the abs bleed on mine last night. Drove it today. OMG better. I hated the brakes before. They still are not going to surprise you but I’d guess 30% or more improvement. It now feels normal to me for a truck
I can’t use my old elm327. No switch. So deleted my profile and should have a new adapter Tuesday. When I get in one of our acuras the first couple stops I make about throws everyone through the windshield. I don’t drive them much and really don’t like them.

I’d hate to guess how many times I’ve overloaded 60s 70s and early 80s pickups with steel til they were riding on the bump stops and not a dent. I wouldn’t dream of it in this truck
We are still trying to get ahold of family up there. Great aunt and uncle in their mid 90s and a cousin. If we don’t hear from them today I may head up to stay at another cousins Brighton
I can guarantee you I never thought about off-roading my 85 with a 2.3. I was afraid something would fall off that gutless wonder. My 83 didn’t get off-roaded but it was a short bed 2wd std cab with manual steering and brakes. I had slapped a 302 in it from a 70 mustang. It was a handful
