I can’t attest to if they are “different” per day. But mine has the option of doing it with batteries as well as hardwiring the mounting surface to the truck so that the buttons illuminate when driving. I thought they were both the same but maybe not?

Yea thats what I plan to do is wire to the marker light. Id prefer to do that. I dont want it always running hot. Ive tried looking up photos though and cannot find exactly where to wire it up to.
