  1. Wheel fitment

To check fitment across vehicles, you'll need to know the lug pattern, center bore, width, and offset of the wheels. If you have a part number from when you got them, you should be able to look all that up online.
  2. Hub centric rings… Yay or nay?

I used to own a shop that sold tires and wheels, among many other truck and offroad products. We had many a customer come in after buying aftermarket wheels complaining of vibration. Very few of them knew the center bore dimension of the wheels they'd purchased, so we usually measured the center...
  3. 🛻 BedRug is Now Husky – Preorders for the New Guardian Comfort and Guardian Impact

I ran a BedRug in my 2012 F-350 and used that truck frequently to haul rusty car parts. The BedRug held up well and still looked good when I sold the truck in 2020. I also ran a BedRug in my 2022 Maverick, doing weekly dump runs. It still looked good 3 years later when I traded the Maverick for...
  4. Tailgate Light Bar From OPT-7 How I Made it Work For The Ranger

I'm going to take a swing at this using the parts the OP recommended. I'll use my old shop to do it so we can document the installation for everyone else. The rest of the parts are due in tomorrow and then I'll schedule the install, so it'll be a couple of weeks before it's done. I've always had...
  5. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Installed the TMAT bed slide... You can't clearly see them in the photo, but the kit came with blocks that set into the star-shaped holes in the mat. They fit nicely in the recess in each side of the DeeZee box, which I can now slide clear of the tonneau cover when I need to open it. The...
  6. Rear ended

As I recall, the OP stated that he is upside down on his truck, owing about $3K more than what the insurance company is likely to pay out but his gap insurance will cover the difference. However, he will not have a truck and there is no equity to use as a down payment. on a replacement. The...
  7. Blizzard-Ice Storm January 23-26, 2026

Gave it another try on YouTube.
  8. Blizzard-Ice Storm January 23-26, 2026

I was going to do that with my plowing video, but the numerous questions and vague explanations were too annoying.

Couldn't get this to upload, so here's a link: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/165xAJA5t5/
  10. Blizzard-Ice Storm January 23-26, 2026

I used to work for a large corporation based here in MA. Every November, the Legal Department would send out a memo reminding everyone that it "snows in Massachusetts" and that everyone was still expected to come to work unless it was unsafe to do so, in which case they would be charged a...
  11. Blizzard-Ice Storm January 23-26, 2026

Current forecast for central MA is "AT LEAST" 8-12" of snow with -10 to -20 wind chill temps. I guess my new plow will get a workout this weekend.
  12. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Nope, no plow package. Since I only do my own driveway, I elected to wait and see how it handles the weight of the plow. So far, it seems OK. Steering feels fine. The place I bought it from and had it installed is about 45 minutes away and even driving home from there with the plow mounted...
  13. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Not a cacti in sight, but this is what I did with my Ranger today:
  14. Snow Plow on a Ranger

I think my snow plow saga has reached its end. The Meyer DrivePro plow I originally had installed led me to hate it with the power of 10,000 suns. The mount system is the worst I have ever used and dismounting it is even harder. It has now been replaced with a 7' Boss HTX. I had previously...
  15. Snow Plow on a Ranger

The power harness goes straight to switched power at the fuse box. I only have the single battery.
  16. I feel like I am taking crazy pills about husky liners

I used to own a truck accessories store, so I've sold and used most of the major brands of floor liners. For years, we recommended WeatherTech and used them in our own vehicles, but we switched to recommending the X-Act Contours (and using them ourselves) for two reasons: 1. The WeatherTech...
  17. 4WD a nightmare at slow speeds

As you noted, if the road is slick with snow or slush, you don't get the jerking as much. I've experienced that with all of my 4x4 trucks and Jeeps when the pavement is clean enough for good traction. It doesn't sound to me like there is anything wrong with your truck. I think you'll find that...
  18. Help Fellow Truck Owners Find the Perfect Bed Protection! Share Your Experience and Help Make Informed Choices!

The BedRug doesn't slide around and scuff the bed. It's a form of indoor/outdoor carpeting so water doesn't hurt it. The plastic drop-ins are a no-go for me, too.
