Finally figured it out.... When I got a rinse wash a few days ago, to get rid of some bugs, the the guy sprayed some kind of product on the front grille to take them off. I had a heck of a time (2hrs) removing the scale (By toothbrush). I reconditioned the grille and it's back to normal. I guess...
Been using the chemical guys mr pink and never seem to be a problem. It's just in that one spot. I tried to clean it with a coarse tooth brush in the right hand grille pic. I will check again after next wash. I just noticed it as I was doing another coat of 303 this morning. Pain in the ass to...
Just the paint not the grille. I do no plastic or rubber with any product. Just soap and water. And just for that reason... been down that road before.
I only wash it with the same soap as the rest of the truck, but it is only the center section of the grille showing it. Have to get the service done this month so I will show them.
Well, with me it isn't so much the dust as it is the tree pollen. But with the 303 I just spray it down with the hose and blow dry it with my leaf blower. Works fine. I rinse mine about at least once a week after use and wash a couple times a month if I travel the back roads. The detail spray...
Yeah, I did the 303 nano spray a couple weeks ago and shortly after, the tree pollen came in full force. Now that it's washed and waxed I just let the rain clean it and it does a pretty good job. Glad I waxed it when I did. I give mine a couple weeks before a good wash unless I do some back...
Had an overcast day so I washed and blew dry the scab. I finally got to use and try the 303 graphene product. I'm impressed. Was easy to apply and wipe.
I was going to attempt it but opted to let the dealer tackle it. Getting too old for this. I purchased the lift from the dealer anyhow. Figured if they screw it up, it's on them.
Thanks... It's a 2" Ready Lift kit. The tires are 265/65/17 from 255"s . I was going to go to 265/ 70's but changed my mind... didn't want to have to worry about changing the spare etc. Only a 5% difference in the sidewall. It's great on the road.
Love the RTR flares... Wish I could get them here, (east coast Canada) for a half decent price. By the time they get here the cost triples. My grand daughter and her man are headed across the boarder this summer. He said he would pic me a set up hopefully.
I had the same problem with the continentals on my previous vehicle, but it was between the treads. Ford compensated the prorated cost and I upgraded to a better tire, Did not have to buy the same tires.
