I took Mike's advice and was able to get the cap loose from underneath. Combination of a box end wrench, pipe, and 3 hits from a ball peen hammer. Install was a piece of cake after that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I knew i was opening myself up to some ribbing. I was just surprised at how tight the cap is. Btw, i dont own tailgate assist or dampers.
Well this is the guy that cashed in his entire 401k to buy a sea ark catfish boat, right around $50,000. I did catch a 52lb blue cat from that boat though.
I dont know why ford would tighten something like this that is suppose to be removed to service the transmission. Ill try again once the cold whether moves thru. I have a bunch of half inch ratchets and sockets but not an extension long enough. Ill prob grab one from harbor freight. Thanks...

Figured I better take advantage of the nice weather before the bottom drops out for the weekend. Installed my OEM modified cover. I blatantly stole the idea from members here. As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I subscribe to ron spomers youtube channels and he was shooting a .308 using different factory ammo to see what grouped best. He loaded hornady and one round was really hard to chamber. He wisely didnt shoot and it was a 6.5 creedmoor. Ammo came straight from the factory.

Thanks for posting this. Ive been delaying my camera install that i took out of my old rig because its such a sloppy install with the wire. Just ordered the harness.
I change mine every 5000 as well. When i was approaching the 5000 mile mark i youtubed what it would take to do a drain and filter and couldnt beleive i had to partially remove the wheel well liner to get to the filter. And i know next time that the filter drainage is to the rear of the filter...
