Out of curiosity, I thought I'd explore how hard it was to get to the oil filter in this stupid location. Got the flap pulled down, but that is still quite awkward and just not enough grip in that location to grasp the oil filter good enough. Obviously, it was on there pretty tight.
The oil...
Here's one thing to consider if are jumping ship on the Ranger and selling it to Carvana, for example.
You will end up paying FULL SALES TAX on the next vehicle you choose, which could negate some of the "savings" you think will end up in your pocket.
The benefit of trading it in, which no...
There were several hits when I searched online, but sellers want $60+ for shipping.
Be better to check your local dealer. I found a few in the FORD store on the FordPass app.
I did the KBB trade on offer, which was quite high as well (not that a dealer would actually give KBB offer).
KBB would NOT give an instant cash offer, however.
BUT, Carvana and KBB trade in offer are offering a lot more than I paid for the truck!!!
I honestly don't see how Carvana is buying vehicles at such high prices. Where is their margin and profit in reselling.
I did a quote, and it came back with $33,601. I only paid under $28,000.
Why could Carvana give me $5601 more than I paid for this truck???????????
MSRP on the truck...
those are simply a marketing technique to get you back into the dealer to get you to trade. If you are looking to do so, might be worth it now............... But the emails are just a "get you in the dealership" scheme.
dealers seem to be paying to top dollar for low mileage, newer year vehicles.
I paid $28,000 for a 2019 Ram 1500 Crew 4x2 Hemi Tradesman. Dealer gave me $29,900 for it on trade towards the ranger.
I got my 2020 Ranger for $27,700 (after all rebates) so I walked away with a nice check.

Except carrier support shifted to AT&T.
From what I understand, the internal modem that communicates with FordPass, and transmits information to Ford is the same modem as the hotspot, but for the hotspot to be active, it requires a subscription.
AT&T sucks here. Verizon works a lot better. My phone is prepaid and has hotspot.
Total Wireless = 2 lines = $60 - 30 GB data and 10GB hotspot per line.
Most people have cell phones that have a data plan. A lot of phones even a built in hotspot. I have 10GB hotspot plan with my phone.
I can't think of a single reason to continue that subscription past the trial.
$20/$25 isn't bad for unlimited data, but there would have to be a need for it in...
