Yes, my body guy says its not ri coat. He says that the box had been repainted from the factory with 2 more coats. Must have had some defects originally. Lots of coverage in any case.

I have a question regarding the paint on the box. I had to have a small repair done to the back corner. When the body shop prep't the surface they found that the box had 3 separate layers of paint on it from factory. Any explanation for this?

You could always use your base plate connection as a tow hook if you ever needed.

Once I was aware of the little digital speed set indicator down in the corner, it all works as I would expect. Just need to use that instead of the speedometer.

That works. I was using it the same as my 2016 F150 where you just hold it until to get to the speed you wanted on the speedometer and then released.

Well I learner something today. I was always looking at the center speedometer dial to set the cruise by. That's why it was wrapping up to 100 mph when holding the button in. I never even noticed the little digital indicator by the cruise icon. Works fine once you know how! Geez...LOL

I'll have to check it out. Maybe it has been somehow set to 100 mph unknowingly. Once the dealer has checked it out I will post. Thanks for the comments.

That doesn't make it right. The owners manual says to operate it either way. The cruise control system is faulty. I can see a recall coming out once my dealer finishes reporting the problem.
