Adult money does change things. Rock on with the snorkel.
I initially was disappointed with just the tune. It didn't feel like the responsiveness I was hoping for. At first I thought I was being too conservative by going with the 87 Performance tune, but later I tried out sport mode, and that...
Thanks for the heads up on the driveshaft, I wasn't aware of this.
I'll check out the exhaust too. I lean towards having it tucked away as well. I have enjoyed a more quiet truck, so I wouldn't want anything too loud.
Sorry, I meant it to be more of a statement than request.
Overall plan is to have a fun truck that can still occasionally tow an RV trailer. It is my daily driver and the road trip vehicle. For now, my current adventures are mainly state parks and off the path campsites. The truck can do all of...
The time has come to have more fun with the truck. I will update this post with the things I have done and to plan future upgrades.

ReadyLift leveling puck
Yakima Rack
Livernois Tune

Received my tunes over the weekend and flashed the truck today. This time, I rolled the window down and did it from outside of the truck.
Driving easy until I get more miles for the transmission to learn.
I was tempted with the 2025 RR but the lack of availability gave me more time to think it over. Between new payments, the premium gas and lower towing, it didn't make sense to replace my current ranger at the moment. If there was one on the lot, not sure I'd have come to the same conclusion.
I...
Took off the front air dam and factor skid plates to put on the RCI skid plate. Didn't finish as one of the parts (speed clip plate) didn't quite match what was expected. Plus, the bolt didn't seem to want to go through it. The thread spacing on the plate doesn't seem to match the bolt. Might...
I went that route as well and it took longer than what the website allocated for that installation. No complaints from me but this seems like a bigger job than a TBC install.
I will be comparing prices to a local shop for both parts and install.
To clarify, are you saying a participating dealer is one that shows on the website as an install location or some other criteria?
The install price does seem low but it could be made up from the markup in the kit. Mainly wanting to be informed before ordering it all through the parts website.
I'm looking at getting the "Overland" Suspension Kit by Old Man Emu from Ford. The website shows I can add installation for $322.
Has anyone gone that route and did the dealership try to charge more for installation saying the website is under priced?
