I'm looking at getting the "Overland" Suspension Kit by Old Man Emu from Ford. The website shows I can add installation for $322.

Has anyone gone that route and did the dealership try to charge more for installation saying the website is under priced?

Installation costs on the website is set low & only dealers obligated to match it are the participating dealers. In my area of Portland Metro(Oregon) it's almost completely rural area dealers you've never heard of that participates.

To clarify, are you saying a participating dealer is one that shows on the website as an install location or some other criteria?

The install price does seem low but it could be made up from the markup in the kit. Mainly wanting to be informed before ordering it all through the parts website.

Yes, the dealers that comes up as the installer. If your preferred dealer comes up during checkout you should be good.

*It might be good idea to call them first, just in case the dealer has very little experience with the Ford ecommerce.

Definitely call first, and ask a lot of direct questions.
Went that route in February of 2020 to purchase and have installed the trailer brake controller.
They said 2 hours for install, so I asked for a first thing in the morning install and I said I would wait. 20 minutes after handing them the keys they come and get me and tell me that they have never installed one on a Ranger, they assumed it would be identical to the F-150. they had no idea how long it would take.

I chose them since the dealership was within 30 minutes of two huge RV dealerships. they told me they had plenty of experience with installing TBC's.

I went that route as well and it took longer than what the website allocated for that installation. No complaints from me but this seems like a bigger job than a TBC install.

I will be comparing prices to a local shop for both parts and install.

I just prepaid $556 for installation of the ford tune and fox leveling kit. Let’s see if they do it. Lol. I will update after the parts get in. Going to be interesting because the power pack isn’t returnable.

No problems. Shipped to the dealer, dealer installed. Only charged me for an alignment.
