Daniel here from Houston -- recently went by nearest Ford dealership to ask about Ranger interest...guy showed me a clipboard full of names (I didn't fill one out though...)
I think/believe these will sell extremely well...I do want to sit in one (hated the Tacoma's front seats at 5'10" it felt like I was poppin' a squat since the seats don't move up or down...) and the Ranger looks far exceed that Colorado front end clip and their square wheel wells...
That 2018 F-150 Lariat Supercrew 4x4 for $46,795 is with nothing added (and a $1,300 listed rebate)...if you spec the same features (F-150 versus Ranger) then there's about a $16,000 MSRP difference between mid-size and full-size (exactly what I had done yesterday...)
Hopefully this is correct/true (on the interior color selections...)
there will be an option between Ebody or Medium Stone upholstery in cloth on the lower trims and leather for the Lariat.
I'm guessing Ford already knows this, but companies/businesses (like mine) will be considering the Ranger CrewCabs as perfect replacements for light-duty field work (project managers, supervisors, etc...) -- wonder if these will become part of their Ford Fleet Program, especially if the XL trim...
I'm really kinda diggin' (even more) the style of this new Ranger -- I can't get past the Chevy Colorado's front end (it looks goofy to me -- like their SUV or something) and I'm not paying $50K for the Jeep Scrambler (even though I currently roll with a 2011 Jeep Wrangler now...)
I test-drove...
