I see that but factory is a hard plastic piece that plugs into a counterbore in the transmission casing and the rest of the plastic gets buried in the aluminum threaded cap. That keeps the tail of the stick from wandering around the internals of the transmission. Just a piece of sheet metal...

I would like to see where this mounts in relationship to transmission internals. Only way you’re going to know is dropping the pan.
