  1. Official map update coming soon…. (Sep, 2022)

I'm thinking the same thing but haven't tried it. Mac OS/Intel at home. Have accumulated two Ford Map Update USB update sticks so far - the 'blue light' is too cool!?!?
  2. Abysmal Fuel Mileage

Brings back the memories. I often rode to work by bicycle from 1978-1988 (Jax, FL). 1978-1982 were the best years. Authorities claim crime is down but the news is horrific on a near daily basis. Still have my Greenbriar English Touring Bicycle in the garage from the later period. The news...

    I wish I got 14 mpg....:crying:
  4. Could I need a battery already?

That's fine as it's a relevant topic, as you just confirmed.
  5. Could I need a battery already?

When in doubt, fully charge the battery (top off with a 'smart charger', disconnect battery completely, negative first (reconnect negative last). With our batteries, you will need a 1,000A Load Tester. Then go from there. Don't come on here complaining a dealer/shop replaced 14 items 14...
  6. Unscheduled Lariat 2022 orders LED headlight delete - is $500 credit enough?

The decontented Rangers don't even appeal to me - maybe at $19,995.....:crying:

Dang...... "The president of the board of directors of the Mexican Hunting Federation was killed by a buffalo after he shot at one while on a hunting trip in Argentina. After his shot, the buffalo charged and gored Mario Alberto Canales Najjar, 64, an expert hunter of big game, causing his...

  9. Alabama Fines Hyundai, Kia Parts Manufacturers Over ‘Oppressive Child Labor’

A 'Staffing Agency' (?) provided the labor. The diversity-inclusion-equity 'bottom feeders' of the labor market. "Automotive supplier SL Alabama, which produces headlights and mirrors for Hyundai, and JK USA, a temporary employment agency providing workers to car part manufacturers, were...
  10. True North - Down East

Found some images I took during my solitary ferry ride over to Nanaimo, BC in January, 2010. A very memorable, positive trip. Made two ferry crossings to Newfoundland - no images that I recall.
  11. Best Methods Break In

Follow recommended maintenance and don’t abuse the vehicle, especially when cold. You have one time to get it right…. A blast from the past-one hit wonders? Edit: Cut and paste when using my iPad early this morning malfunctioned.
  12. Different brands/level of suspension?

  13. Softening the Ride…HELP!

  14. New (aftermarket) Engine Covers

I drilled a couple of holes in mine to mount the emblem - used gorilla glue. Wondering if this will have an effect on longevity?

  16. New (aftermarket) Engine Covers

Looks like scrap from a HVAC fan cabinet.....
  17. Softening the Ride…HELP!

I recommend 32 psi cold unless towing a trailer. Thinking my tires were at 45 psi upon delivery....
  18. Softening the Ride…HELP!

I see you modified your post without notation. Common Wisdom dictates that if you put oversize tires on a vehicle, then one compensates by beefing up the suspension (better shocks for sure). My tires are completely OEM as per the image-OEM shocks were woefully inadequate. Occam's Razor...
  19. Consistent fuel mileage?

My Lariat's computer always shows just under 22mpg whenever I fill it up. A good mix of urban/rural highways, slanting toward the 'rural' part. I use 93 E0 and the FRPP Ecoboost Performance Tune.:) Edit: My previous 2006 4WD Ranger w/4.0L averaged 19-20 mpg on 87 E0. My 2001 Ranger Supercab...
  20. True North - Down East

The entire region is gorgeous. Been to P.E.I. once. Visited my customer late in the day, spent the night and backtracked to Moncton the following day. Spent most of my time in Moncton with Truro, NS following up at a close second. Two overnight trips to Newfoundland aboard the ferry from...
