I got a Momento M6 dual camera. I was planning on going with a thinkware but found a new in box but returned M6 for half off. I’m fairly happy with it, it’s not perfect but for a few hundred bucks I can’t complain
Well since I’ve already spent way more than that on what I’ve wanted first I’d either put it towards a set of 5 285/75/r17 K02’s, a new rear bumper or King 2.5 EXT coils. I’ve already got my onboard air and trigger 6 shooter sitting waiting for a nice day to install.
I’ve been trying to figure out a way to convert my sliding rear window into a power slider. I’ve read the threads about using linear actuators. There’s some drawbacks with that method, mainly mounting it on the bottom causing torque that may bind the window.
I am wondering if there is a way to...
The ford performance tune is great. With it drive is much better, shift points are perfect IMO and you can feel the quicker response. Sport mode is fantastic as well.
In order to keep the factory warranty you have to have the tune installed by a ford dealer or ASE certified tech
I’m hoping to be able to fit 285/75/r17’s (33.9”) on mine when I replace my tires. I’ve got the stock tremor wheels with 1.5” spacers (about a +4 offset) and a 2 inch level. Hoping not to have to cut too much
I don’t have the hidden winch mount, but I’ve got a Smittybilt 10k x20s gen 2 with synthetic rope on mine. I’m very happy with it, it works well. I know a lot of people who use smittybilt winches and have been rough on them and they have had no issues.
Pretty much anything else smittybilt I...
As far as I know there’s no leveling kit for a tremor that is springs. There’s coil-overs, but unless moving to a 2.5 of some sort there’s not much of a point in changing those in a tremor. His level won’t settle if he used the FRL kit.
That said down the line I’m going with either King or ADS...
That opens you up to a lot more possibilities.
I have mr RTT on a RCI rack. It’s a Tepui from before Thule bought them. I can’t speak to the current quality but when Tepui was their own brand the quality was fantastic.
If you’re going to off road or wheel at all I’d strongly recommend considering going with a true frame mounted slider. Extra protection on the rockers is never a bad idea. If you sent the rocket and door area you could be in for a very expensive repair.
It could be slightly higher. I remember thinking that mine was when I did the 2” level. Once I added my winch and bumper it seems to sit perfectly level now
If I didn’t have a tractor with forks to use I never would have been able to pull it off of the freight truck
Then I had to battle that metal frame, it’s bolted to the bumper and some of the bolts are hard to reach, and pulling it apart was a challenge too.
I hope it goes well!
I got the same bumper, they ship it attached on the inside of a metal frame to protect it and attach that to a pallet. The actual bumper is much smaller
As someone who has built a few turbo vehicles, I’d hold off on the intake until it is necessary for your build. You may end up changing directions and needing something different, and until it’s needed it’s an expensive visual accessory.
On a turbo vehicle, for there to be a noticeable difference in stock vs aftermarket intake it needs to be tuned for. A roush intake and ford performance tune most likely would be within a few hp/tq of a stock intake and ford performance tune.
As others have said, the factory intake isn’t an...
Depends on what you plan to do with the truck. I replaced mine with white knuckle rock sliders to protect the rocket panels when I’m off roading and camping. I took the steps off the stock rails and covered the holes because they cut my legs and I don’t need the steps to get in my tremor even...
Probably more than it’s worth honestly, it’s not the smallest item to ship.
I’d keep an eye on your local classifieds and scrap yards. Any tremor or FX4 skid plate will fit, the only difference is the color
