Installed the fancy hood shocks to go with my fancy tailgate shock. I feel cooler than the other side of the pillow right now. Can't wait to install the Raptor led lights in the grill and the black badges.
Ford redesigned the flex pipes in the ST exhaust system in 22, our ST is a 2020 and it was our only real option. Wife thought it was a tad loud at first, now loves it.
Yep, bought a used exhaust system with a couple thousand miles on it, 3" from the cats back. We were forced to replace our system from the cats back, because Ford refused to replace our poorly designed flex pipes, when they failed for the 4th time. They told us the 3 previous replacements were a...
Explorer is the 10R60. Our ST had a valve body issue at about 45k, hit it to pass someone and it went neutral to donkey kick in a heartbeat. Threw a slew of 4wd codes, we limped to the shoulder, turned it off and on and never did it again. Took it to the dealer the next week and let them check...
I didn't think about Thermal for the Ranger. I'll have to check into that. We lucked into a used system for the Explorer, less than $1k. Drove down to Atlanta one day and picked it up, stopped at Buccee's and made a nice half day out of it.
Sounds decent, not too loud. I sort of want one for my truck, just not ready to commit. Our Explorer ST has a Thermal 3" system and it's not too loud, but the V6 has a deeper tone to it.
I had already spent the money on a tune from Torrie by that time. Very happy with it, got a performance and a tow tune. I went through the same thing with the ST. Everyone on the ST forums praise Adam @ ZFG, but he couldn't answer a damn email at all, much less wait a month.
Here's another thing you need to consider; how easy is it to get in touch with the tuner?
I emailed Livernois on 17 Jan 2025 @ 5:46pm with tuning questions and received a response on 17 Feb 2025 @ 10:43. That's absolutely unacceptable in this day and age. I waited 2 weeks for a response and...
You had to be getting out of it with that 13.0. My wife's Explorer ST runs 1.68 60' 8.0 in the 1/8th, that was stock intercooler, Goosetuned on a 98 degree day with 70% humidity. I'm not allowed to take it back to the strip, something bad happened to the rear diff...
I use Waze/Maps daily for service calls and at least once a week, Waze takes me several miles from where I want to be. I report it and I guess someone logs it, who knows.
Considering Google bought Waze, I would have thought they used the same info/map sets.
I almost went with the BakFlip tri-fold cover, but it would have required me to run the cross bars higher. Plus the tri-fold is 2x more expensive, although the tri-fold has the T-rails built in. The cover is the Truxedo LoPro.
I have the Elevate rack and just use it for ladders. I chose it because it can be dismounted in a couple minutes and I can throw a motorcycle in the back. It's in the lowest position in this picture, 18" above the cover.
I drove a 2024 XLT 4x4 with 3800 miles and the 23 Lariat Tremor with 30k miles(which I ended up buying). In the end it was about the 24 looking like a swelled up Maverick and it was listed for $38k and that dealer wouldn't budge, plus the Tremor was $5k cheaper and has the amenities I wanted...
