Glad they’re taking care of it for you. But a 2019 usually won’t qualify for the LTIS ( low time in service) policy that would give you a replacement transmission even with your low mileage. But if they find worse once they get into it they may switch to a replacement.
All they’ve done is confirm harsh shift correct? Do you know if they did the CDF drum test that’s spelled out in the latest TSB? Your repair order from before shows they put the updated one in ( by part number) and that “shouldn’t “ be the issue but you never know. Also looking at your repair...
OP should be able to have a new transmission installed for $5600 or less. I guarantee you that if he traded it in that they would drop in a new transmission instead of repairing it. Probably would cost the dealer around $3500 parts and labor.
I’ve seen several posts stating that they received help from Ford when just out of warranty. Each situation is different and probably depends on how good your dealer is.
We’re all fine.

How much of the 5 year / 60000 mile powertrain warranty do you have left? And how would you describe “ seems fine” . Issues can start showing up as very subtle. For those within the powertrain warranty there’s a TSB that addresses know issues.
I
I still think he described this failure where the tensioner actually breaks off a chunk of the front cover. And there’s nothing wrong with the tensioner. It’s happened quite a few times and all have been 2020’s. It has been and should be covered by the 5/60 powertrain warranty. Probably could...
I believe the
I believe the OP is referring to a known issue on some 2020’s where the mounting point for the idler pulley on the front cover breaks off. But without more information I’m speculating
Hmmm, another 2020 with a supposed front cover failure?? Any pictures? Has the dealer actually looked at it yet? What extended warranty do you have? A bit more information would be helpful.
