  1. Someone/something banged my truck...

I loved the truck itself just a damn shame the kid ruined it. It was funny watching him try to climb in, dude couldn’t have been older than 18 or 19.
  2. Someone/something banged my truck...

On my drive to Charlotte I always stop at sheetz in Summersville, WV. That place is a freakin squatted truck convention every time I go. Either that or lifted two feet in the air with rainbow LEDs. Never see it anywhere else really, reminded me of the subculture of people who did freakish mods...
  3. bed rack tonneau cover combo

I installed the gator efx tri fold cover when I first got the truck. When I started to get the itch for a bed rack it was very difficult to find one that would be compatible with my tonneau, and I really did not want to commit the money to buying a new one when mine worked perfectly fine. I...
  4. Rear brake line mounting hardware rusted

ah good idea, that just will be another thing to add to the list after finishing my current maintenance I’m working on and then getting new brakes. Getting everything up to my “spec” as someone who wants this thing to drive like new has been quite the challenge
  5. Rear brake line mounting hardware rusted

Hi all, I was poking around under the truck this afternoon and noticed that the rear brake lines look quite sketchy, is this something I’m able to replace myself? Pic attached for reference
  6. EGR DPFE Sensor Assembly Replacement Write-Up (LB5Z-9J433-B)

Thank you x1000. This made my truck drive like its brand friggin new and solved my transmission worry signs instantly. If you’re ever in the Pittsburgh area I owe you as many beers as you can drink. Thank you!!!!!
  7. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I was just thinking today how much DIY work I’ve done on this truck since buying it this winter. For reference, before this truck I’ve never even changed my own headlights before. 1. Tonneau 2. Additional tie down points installed in the bed 3. New low beams 4. Changed my oil and rotated my...
  8. So I may have messed up my fitzstick installation…

Thanks for the reply! I’m gonna get one of those OBD2 scanners and make sure I’m up to temp in the tranny before measuring again
  9. So I may have messed up my fitzstick installation…

I was trying this but only getting a small bit of ATF on the way bottom of the dipstick. I thought it might be the dipstick but it returns the same value as the OEM dipstick did for a cold tranny (right around 4) so thinking I’m just super low on fluid
  10. So I may have messed up my fitzstick installation…

And is this the gap that it’s meant to feed through? It seemed based on the video that’s what the guy was saying but it was a struggle getting it not to wrap around those transmission lines
  11. So I may have messed up my fitzstick installation…

Got it much tighter today for some reason… honestly probably all the leaking ULV lubricating it... Does this look about right to you guys? Seemed like it still might’ve been leaking a bit but hard to tell what’s new vs earlier. Tried my best to dry it out and will look closer tomorrow after...
  12. So I may have messed up my fitzstick installation…

Hey all, I think I must’ve messed this up. Not sure if the problem is due to not tightening the adapter enough, not tightening the hose enough, or some sort of cross threading. I really struggled with this installation due to lack of space. Based on where the fluid is in this vid assuming it’s...
  13. Mice!!

I don’t believe so, I’ll take a closer look tomorrow. I’ve seen conflicting posts about accessing the cabin air intake, can I just pop the plastic to remove the cowl? Or do I really need to take the windshield wipers off
  14. Mice!!

Ah perhaps, I do have a lot of hardware cloth leftover. It’s just a matter of learning how to access those vents I suppose
  15. Mice!!

How important is meshing over the rear pressure openings? I was just planning on meshing the air intake
  16. Mice!!

This thread unlocked another constant fear for my ranger  first the transmission, now rats in the ceiling! I just ran out to check my cabin air filter due to my crippling fear of mice. All clear besides a few small pieces of debris that match the tree that constantly rains down on my...
  17. Bed rack that works with factory hard tri-fold

I’m in the exact same boat- thanks for the detailed reply @therangeradventure I’m stuck between saving up for a while to drop a few grand on a new tonneau and the truxedo system vs a few hundred for the ADARAC. I’m leaning toward Adarac since I don’t do any overlanding and the only reason I...
  18. Metal clattering noise when driving on uneven road

Thank you. I’m thinking I’m gonna try replacing the hardware myself since it’ll be a cheap job. I’ll be going for my 60k service soon so they’ll inspect the rotors and pads and see if I messed something up by putting 9,500 miles on the truck with a loose brake
  19. Metal clattering noise when driving on uneven road

Update: I think I was just fooling myself because I’ve been noticing it like crazy. I finally did what other suggested and put hands on everything. It’s the front passenger brake pad. It’s loose in the caliper and I can wiggle it around and produce the same noise. Front driver side was tight. I...
  20. Light Pounding & Jerking When Applying Brakes

ah jeez, I have a similar problem but was hoping replacing the DPFE would help. I’ll need to have my 60k appointment in a month or two. If the brakes or rotors needs replaced I’ll just do them myself I think
