The person with Ford performance I spoke with said you can not tow with this tune under warranty. I'm only relaying what was told to me. I dont know why it would hurt but I was told no towing. I'm wtg until they change this which is what I was told would be happening in the future.
I'm assuming...
Benny,
VKB3Z-99286A40-C... will this bed extender work with a bakflip x4 revolver or truxedo sentry ct tonneau cover. How much clearance does it have to each side. They said it needed 3" to clear the rails.

I dont want to flash back and forth every time I need to tow. If once in a blue moon that would work, but not several times a week. Ill just wt until the tune is set up to accommodate towing as they said it would be I'm the future.
But I appreciate your reply. That would work for some, I'm sure.
Came straight from Ford performance and I can't risk an issue with them as I will be towing with the truck. I'm erring toward being safe and holding off now.
I had seen enough info about not being able to tow with the tune and that got me worried. I just called ford performance and they let me know two important facts:
1) since I'm buying a 2021 I have to wait until they update the tune later this yr for 2021. Said it will not jive with a 2021.

The biggest thing for me is my Raptor barely fits in my garage and a ranger does easily. The vast interior space will be missed, but the maneuverability and ease in which to park, etc is going to be enjoyed with the Ranger.
My understanding though was that there is a very subtle blue flick in this that is almost unnoticeable, but gives it depth. A local body shop told me this too. Just trying to confirm. I remember the black you are referring too, but it had a significant metallic quality to it.
Local dealer here installs their own spray-in liners. Will order a Ford only if you you request it. He can make over $200 on each liner he sells at the price he charges which is comparable to most other options. With a Ford factory ordered liner he makes like $50.
If you go after market make sure they remove all of the bed and tailgate bolts and screws before spraying. This way if you ever need to remove them, they aren't locked in by the spray liner material. Further be sure they mask everything off properly. Ive seen too many times where they didn't...
Line-x typically does a good job. However, I usually go with the manufacturer's [ so in this instance Ford]since it is covered under the same warranty as the other parts on the car 3 yr or 36,000 miles. This way if it has an issue it's warranted by Ford and handled at the dealership like any...
Your best source of info is your dmv/tax commission and often their website lists these rules or you could call and they should be able to provide you this info.
Typically the $100 applies as state caps are generally more than that. Many states have enacted caps to prevent gouging/extortion in fees charged. If a state disallows doc fees or caps them lower that would apply.
When we owned our automobile dealership, we only had a $99 doc fee in part to not...
