Just got 265/70R18 Falken WildPeaks. Just some slight rubbing when the front wheels articulate at full lock it looks like. Not to worried it about it since I will be getting the front lifted so that should take care of the issue. The crash bars have a small amount of adjustment that might take...
Wish I could but I was an idiot when I made the appointment with the dealership to have the work done and didn't get a written quote. They originally quoted me between $400.00 and $450.00 to do the install. But when I went back today they said it was going to cost $800.00. Didn't get a written...
It seems I'm an idiot. Maybe it's when I grew up or just how I was raised but always believe that when you say something that your word is your bond and you do it. Sometimes I forget it's not that way anymore.
Whoever owns Larry Miller Ford bought out Berge Ford so Berge Ford became Larry...
The steps having to go was the first thing I thought of when I test drove the Tremor. Wondered why they didn't put rock sliders on the truck. Ended up going with the FX4 instead of the Tremor and I don't regret it.
Like the name of the truck though. Wonder how many people thought about that...
I just got Falken WildPeak A/T3w 265/70R18 passanger rated tires installed on my truck today. It looks like there is some slight rubbing on the drivers side front crash bar at full lock when it's articulating. The passanger side looks fine. So if you're going to install these and stay stock you...
I just bought my Ranger and would do it again. I traded in my 2019 Nissan Frontier Pro-4x for it. The dealership was willing to give me a little bit more for the Frontier than what I paid for it. I did love the Frontier for its simplicity and I never got stuck with it.
So if I had to buy a new...
Well home prices here have soared. A house a couple of doors down from me sold for $350,000 and about 4 months later was sold again for $550,000. A friend of mine was looking for a house to buy and finally gave up. Said that every time he had found a house that bids on it were well above asking...
It tells me several things:
1) Offraoding involves risks. You risk everything from just plain getting stuck to damage to your vehicle and physical injury. If you're not will to take those risks then you shouldn't be offroading.
2) Design your build around the type of offroading you'll be...
There are two Fox kits available for the Ranger. One is from Fox and the other is from Ford Performance. The one from Fox can be done in two purchases but won't be covered under warranty. The one from Ford Performance I don't think can be done in two purchases but is covered under the factory...
So, to stay under $800.00
1) Spacers - This will likely keep you under your target price. Maybe a little higher if you have someoene else install them. It will get you some height but generally isnt' the recomended way of lifting your truck. Not sure why as they aren't something I never really...
I just got a Ford/Fox 2.0 leveling kit that is supposed to be set for 2" of leveling and there is about 1.9" from the bottom of the ring to the bottom of the threads. I don't know if it'll be 2" of lift in the front or not.
Thank you for the post. Seems like everyone with 18s changes wheels with different specs. I'm glad I'm not the only one keeping the OEM wheels. Makes the decision on tires a bit easier.
How does it do off road?
Well my Ford Performance Fox 2.0 kit came this afternoon. The box is in good condition and nothing was damaged. Fox packed it fairly well.
The delivery driver for FedEx on the other hand not so good. I was in my office and my dog started barking and went to the front window. I heard a light...
Well, glad I bought my Ranger when I did. The price increase is marginal but the loss of the rebates isn't. That could very well hurt sales. Course all it may do is drive used car prices up even more. The dealership gave me more than what I paid for my 2019 Frontier.
