If you off road and lower tire pressure I would go with Method MR703 bead grip. I have the MR316 same wheel without the bead grip. Did not see the other option until I had already made the purchase. These are 18x9 Plus 18 offset with 285/65/18 KO2 tires for reference with Fox 2.5 level in front.
For those that do not know the level of service Mike provides, I would like to say it is top notch. I ordered one of the earlier ones without the funnel. He has gone above and beyond and provided funnels to all the early orders at no charge. I had offered to pay or at least pay for shipping he...
That is absolutely crazy lucky he did not end up down stream, and calling Matt’s Offroad recovery.
Went through water once, and never again cleaned the truck for weeks. There is still dirt there today from over 3 years ago.
A Toyota went through after me when he seen how deep it was. He went...
This is from Josh Mills he use to post on here not sure if he is still active. No real description, but this is what I used for reference doing it removing LCA. At about 4:30 shows removal and around 9:30 putting it back together. He removes upper UCA after new coilover is installed (axle will...
Use the LCA method, I did and it was not an issue. It was the 1st time I had did front suspension work. Only issues was on 1st side I did it by myself and needed extra hands to make it easier. On passenger side had my son help put it back together and it was very simple to get it all lined up.
There is a gasket on the filter, sort of like a O ring. You could reuse, but they are only around $6.00 through Rock Auto. Maybe double that at a dealer.
I thought all cars have a brake interlock switch that needs to be pressed with the pedal to start. Same with manual the clutch pedal needs to be pressed in. Never used it, but even after remote start don’t you have to press the brake pedal and push button start?
For a cheap computer I got a refurbished HP at Walmart for $119 works perfect for Forscan. Cheap enough I leave it in truck anytime I travel just in case.
If you go the top route UCA, best to remove axle nut to avoid pulling out the axle. Easier way is to mark alignment bolts on LCA then remove and drop LCA to change out front coilovers. Do a search on you tube there is a good video from a member on here Josh Mills I believe.
With all the extra weight you might want to think about changing out the rear springs also. Shocks will help, but multi leaf springs will handle the weight better.
Sorry to rehash old info, but I think it is worth repeating same as reminding people to change transmission fluid at around 30k intervals with filter every other change. Nothing more important fo maintaining a vehicle then regularly changing all fluids.
Yes, probably AI generated but better than most of the videos out there. A lot of truth and good info in the video just easier for the producer to use AI. Before AI it could take a week or 2 now it can be done in hours.
Sort of contradicting, do not want to mess with engine, but willing to put on a tune? For me even heavily loaded I have no issues with the power, and torque out of this engine being completely stock. Second the option for the Fitzstick best mod available for the truck.
Good video not sure if it has been posted before. I was bored, and seen this surfing YouTube. All just common sense, but sometimes people (myself included) get lazy, or are in a hurry.
