Making progress, this is a rough mock-up to the roof dimensions of the supercab roof, drew it up in about 45 during some free time at work, the holes in the sides are for flush mount diode dynamic ssc1 sports in flood pattern and there's a cutout for lights in the front which I haven't decided...
Great looking roof setup there Duke, I think I will definitely have to put some cases up top for recovery gear or anything else I may need that I don't want in the cab
I misread your original post for whatever reason I thought they were supercrew tracks ?♂️, for the price it may be something I'd look into as a mounting solution for my rack but I have the capability to machine similar tracks to those so it'll be something to consider this weekend when I start...
Lol that thing is tiny I do appreciate you putting the link here it will definitely help when I am finalizing design and such just to see what else is out there!
I appreciate you digging up the link and fixing it, with the different roof shapes I feel it may not look great or adapt well but who knows lol I will probably reference that link though when building lol
Duke I always appreciate your kind words and input, I didn't even think about pelican cases but it would definitely be perfect for those too!
I believe my biggest challenge will be getting it too match the curve of the Supercab lol
I've definitely taken this into consideration the rack design is mostly for lights so I can do 360 degree lighting and it will maybe hold traction boards! Lol
The roof of the super cab actually isn't too much smaller than the super crew lol but yes it will be smaller, main point if this rack is...
New to the forum here and also a new ranger owner but I've noticed that no one makes a prinsu or front runner rack for the super cabs like I have, this being said I plan on building my own in a similar style to the two and was curious if there was any interest for a Supercab rack in the market...
Haha yep ?
Btw I will be working on a roof rack design for my truck this weekend, the plan will be something similar in style to a front runner or prinsu with pods or light bar in the front (will be using diode dynamics) and flush mount dd ssc2 on each side of the rack with the back 2 being...
So I finally got around to installing these diode dynamic ss3 pro fog light kit and WOW they are nice, The fog pattern is perfect and gets a lot of light everywhere. The install was very easy I just dropped the bumper which is 6 bolts and took the housings off and swapped these in, and while the...
That's actually wicked cool, I'm currently a machnist right now running and programming wire EDM's, I tend to struggle a bit with math but ironically I like to do it once I've figured it out, and I've always been interested in engineering so that's a route I've been looking at for sure so I...
Damn lol, I guess I'll just wait a bit longer and do it all at once haha. Also love the build man, I believe I read you were a mechanical engineering student somewhere in the thread how do you like it, I graduated high school in may and am taking a gap year trying to decide my major while working.
I have the 5100 Kit Currently with the stock springs, How did the baja kits handle with the 5100 kit and eibach springs. Im considering getting that kit but I wont be able to buy the shocks for a bit, I'll also need to get Fiber glass lol
I'm Still Down to go for sure, I haven't had the truck out much other than that one four peaks run I did and using it to take my 450 Out riding, There's a bunch of us trying to figure out a weekend to get the trucks out here soon I'll DM you on Instagram once I Know more!
I appreciate the concern trust me I do I had the same concerns when buying the light's because I myself don't like being blinded while I drive, when I was testing the lights out and got in another car and looked at it from an oncoming person it wasn't much worse than the stock halogens. I had a...
I definitely will my only concern is how the super cabs don't have a b pillar so obviously the capacity of the rack will be lesser than a super crew I would think, my main use for it though won't really be for anything heavy mainly aesthetics and lights ?
Thanks for the heads up I spent about 2 hours installing driving around and aiming them and even got in a smaller car to see it from an oncoming perspective and they sit just about perfect as in not disrupting anybody's vision and still providing better lighting over the halogens
Haha possibly possibly, I'm new to the trade so I'm still learning a lot but I'd like to start building some stuff for the ranger for sure, my main thing would be a roof rack similar to a prinsu or something along those lines because they don't make one for the Supercab.
I was intending on doing...
Thank you, I appreciate the quick tip I'll definitely put that into consideration on the install, I plan on just using the fogs offroad as the led bulbs I put in are super bright already (had to down tune them I felt bad for oncoming traffic) but I I'll probably want to aim them either way
