Thanks for the reply. I should have clarified that clearance/suspension is not a concern. I'm not stock and currently riding on 295/70r17 Ridge Grapplers. I meant from a winter physics point of view.
Wondering if anyone has ran either of these sizes in a dedicated winter tire, and can offer insight/feedback? I will need to order a set soon, and I am concerned the 285 may be too wide for our trucks in the winter and wander in slush and heavy snow (I'm located in Eastern Canada where we have...
+1 on the OBDLink adapter cable. It works flawlessly and no need for toggling. There are some useful tutorial videos on YouTube that offer a good introduction as well. It really helps to see the software in use, backing up and writing modules etc. Between reading this entire thread and the one...
Interesting thread and good contribution. I have the FP tune and always intended to switch back to the original paper element at my first oil change (my truck was delivered with the tune and the dealer insisted on installing the filter against my request). I think I'm going to bump that up the...
Same here on my 2021 Lariat. I also intended to enable parklights with DRL's but it already was by default (I hadn't physically looked at them to verify as I assumed they were not).
I'm late to this thread but can most certainly echo the same thing as the OP. My 2021 SuperCrew Lariat is the exact same with it being much more prevalent on the front doors. It was actually one of the first "odd" things I noticed after getting my truck, made very obvious every time my wife...
I used these lights: https://www.oraclelights.com/products/oracle-truck-bed-led-cargo-light-60-pair-w-switch
which I later noticed appear to be exactly the same as the ones branded under the Nilight name for like half the price on Amazon...
Here's my end result. Tapped into cargo lamp circuit with help from this thread and a few others. Also added a pair of Lux rock lights for courtesy lighting under the rear bumper area (also on the same circuit). I prefer the autonomy of things powering up when unlocking the truck or opening...
Let there be light! Bed lighting completed, along with some courtesy lighting under the rear bumper area using a pair of Lux rock lights, one under each bracket connecting the bumper to the frame. Tied it all into the cargo lamp circuit so it powers up when unlocking the truck, opening doors etc.
I'm not sure which parameter disables/enables the honk on locking a second time with the fob, but it is not related to the double honk on exit with the truck running. I have disabled the double honk but not the alert honk, which is still functioning.
You only need to get to the white wire with green stripe to get a posi-tap on it for power. I only used that specific type of tap for the first time a few weeks ago when installing the Amp powersteps and they are perfect for this application (tight space in a wire bundle, and inside the cab out...
Yes, I got them from Amazon. They are the 62L version without lids. 3 fit pretty good across the back but I think there's enough room for dual swing cases still, certainly enough for one. I'll get around to installing the one I have here soon.
Tried out some new collapsible totes in combination with my cargo bar for a grocery run. These things are great for cargo management and take little space when folded down.
Hi Benny,
I'm in need of one of these. I had the dealer install a trailer brake controller before taking delivery of my truck and I could tell the rear clip was broken. After installing the Amp powersteps I can see why, as getting the damn things off without carnage isn't easy. Now the front...
Depending on your need/desire, you could also tie into the cargo light circuit? (if running a lot of power draw, can supply power with a relay). I plan to add bedlighting soon with some courtesy lighting under the rear bumper tied into that circuit as well.
Good to hear! I was on the June or July delivery schedule, I can't recall which. I haven't paid too much attention as I'm just patiently waiting for the day it shows up.
