  1. FULLSCALE’s White Platinum Lariat FX4

Enjoy watching your progress. Thank you for sharing. How are the RokBlokz XL mud flaps? Easy install? (the reviews are mixed). I have the same size tire on a +12 offset, which exceeds the WeatherTech flaps on the truck now. I'm likely to get protective covering on the doors, and have a light...
  2. FYI on Ford Tailgate Dampener

I mounted one pulling up as instructed and another to the bumper pulling down. Balances out perfectly. One is none...
  3. Before & After pics....leveling kit & wheels/tires

I think the ride is much better. The spacer lift wasn't horrible, but it was more jarring and had less control around corners. Mostly, spacer lift didn’t suit our use needs. Depending on your needs and install costs you could give the spacer lift a shot. It may prove all you need and you’d...
  4. Before & After pics....leveling kit & wheels/tires

Hi. I liked the level look and wanted improved ride over a spacer lift. I knew I wanted to move to a coil over and off of the stock shocks with spacer. I’ve been quite happy with the ride. In moving from 3” Front/1” back to 2” level The truck is closer to drive train angle spec, lessening wear...
  5. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Carhartt or similar fabric seems good. Avoid anything neoprene as it attracts hair. We have the same issue.
  6. UnderCover Swing Case and Factory Spray in Bedliner

Same as the others. M6. Clean out the holes. Recommend adding dry lubricant to the screws; they're soft metal and round out easily. Another tip from the forum which I found instrumental - use a box cutter to score the factory tie downs which are likely covered over by liner. If not the liner...
  7. New Member. Looking at trucks. Ease My Insanity.

We have both. 2018 F150 and 2019 Ranger. Both XLTs with 302A tech and towing packages. Ranger is an FX4. F150 is a straight 4x4. Love both. And they're very different vehicles, for different purposes and with different benefits. Although they're both trucks, I don't see them as truly comparable...
  8. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I added two. Twice as fast. Tailgate closes itself.
  9. To D-Ring or not to D-Ring. Thoughts?

    Great stuff. Snow running.
  10. J0shM1lls' Ranger Build Thread!

Same. If memory serves it’s a mesh of camera under review and front facing grill/bumper sensors, depending On the trim.
  11. J0shM1lls' Ranger Build Thread!

Thank you. Your explanation makes more sense. Much appreciated. And thanks again for the videos. Good stuff.
  12. To D-Ring or not to D-Ring. Thoughts?

Thanks guys. I tend to agree. If not under water/soaked in mud, I've preferred soft to the bow shackle. The latter always brings a group cringe, and thoughts of projectiles and post recovery pin freeze. Based on poll alone, as much as I'd like something else to tinker with after work one day...
  13. To D-Ring or not to D-Ring. Thoughts?

It may not be, in the end. Appreciate your optic. I have the same d-ring and multiple strap kit on board now. As advertised the benefit of the conversion over the tow ring is versatility and ease when connecting recovery straps; avoids two metal loops pulling against one another if a d-ring is...
  14. J0shM1lls' Ranger Build Thread!

Enjoy watching the build. Thank you for sharing. Several of the fender flare adverts note a negative impact on lane keep-assist systems. Have you experienced any problems? -Chris "Blocks Lane-Keep Assist: these fender flares block the sensors used for Ford's Lane-Keep Assist feature that was...
  15. To D-Ring or not to D-Ring. Thoughts?

    Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
  16. To D-Ring or not to D-Ring. Thoughts?

Of course. That’s the current set up (had the D-rings already and straps). Definitely part of the calculus. Metal on metal with small friction and high slip areas is generally a bad idea under high stress, relative to fabric/strap on metal. Strap over ring is an option, but can limit distance...
  17. To D-Ring or not to D-Ring. Thoughts?

    Thank you ?
  18. To D-Ring or not to D-Ring. Thoughts?

Need the group's help: A late Friday evening I surfed too long and added the RC tow hook-to-shackle conversion kit to my ever-growing Stage3 cart. The purchase was a little bit  pondering and also a response to local overland/trail groups "requiring" after-market D-Ring recovery shackles...
  19. Michigan Free Spare (265/65/17) - Detroit Metro Area

I have an unused stock 265/65/17 Hankook Dynapro for free to anyone in the Detroit metropolitan area. Pick up or nearby meet up only. This spare was taken off as part of a larger tire set swap out. I no longer need the 265/65/17 and move too often to keep towing it around with us. Notes...
  20. Fuel in oil

Took the truck in again. Techs and service rep all smelled the dipstick. Fuel. Agreed. Ran sniffer tests, diagnostics, and looked at the HPFP. No known issues, but agreed it’s a problem. Changed the oil. Come back in 500. Test the oil and seek resolution then if the stench remains. Driveway...
