The bronco chassis isn't widened the arms are longer literally 2 inches on either side. From spy shots both raptor and bronco rear look to be same as far as 2022 model goes. The front mounting points look identical the only difference is it looks to have a taller shock mount for longer shocks.
For my front I actually think a ton of normal people would benefit from going to bronco parts as they are 2.5 inches longer and would get them a factory mid/long travel set up. Bit what's good front travel without rear travel options available.
Yea I measured the difference from mounting centers I would have to move the front mount 11 inches the rear I could actually move 2 inches forward to gain the 30 degree correct shakle angle. I love your build
So chevy leafs are 1500 load capacity but set to the correct angle its possible to loose a couple hundred pounds. Although setting angle to 45 instead of the already drooped angle of 90 how the come from factory would soften the ride as well as net more droop from the shakle swing. Depending on...
Yes welding would be involved probably won't hurt you to look at older rangers or explorers that have short leaf springs and see it isn't something off the wall.
This swap would require very minimal welding, but it's rather straight forward. Having longer springs dampens hits better because of larger load area. They are favored in prerunner world a lot. I suspect you could easily gain ranger raptor travel numbers from rear easily
So wondering how many if anyone else considered doing this swap also. You can probably do the whole swap for about 400 total. You gain load capacity on leafs to roughly same as tremor package. More flex and travel. You could set the hangers to the correct 45 degree to gain a smoother ride. Older...
Yup. The bronco I ordered and refused had paint chips and already had 12 miles on odometer. Not to mention had already been at dealership a week prior to notifying me that it had arrived. Sounds like koy ride for sure.
Looking at part numbers at dealership when I had replied I had a fx4 next to a tremor most everything was same part numbers only real change I saw was the shakles and leafs even then I later measured shakles and measured sameeye to eye. I can see the knuckle being slightly taller but control...
So I've been reading a ton, and a simple conclusion I've cone down to is the new bronco is practically a ranger raptor. Both ranger raptor and bronco use same 5 link rear set up both have a track width of 69 inches. Bronco is ranger frame based. Now armed with this knowledge ot should mean doing...
Hope this helps. No rubbing with the amount I cut out even so no rubbing on wheel well covers either. Picture is to show I have flexed it out quite a bit. Accelerates about same speedo is off 7mph although I haven't recalibrated ecu. I get between 11 and 12 mpg.
I don't know how much I cut them right off the bat. But I can tell you I have zero rubbing. I can say I cut right where the 45 degree starts on the front and on the rear between both bolts. Looking at the new bronco sas it's very similar too so they probably aren't all that important if the...
Just a heads up 4.70s have been done on the Sema build danatrak ford ranger. It looks like they're marketing them for the broncos m190 only but it should spill over. I am curious to know if the chevy Colorado m190 uses same ring and pinion as ours.
