I understand where your coming from but not really keen on making a modification like that which reqires removing the frame crossmember. That would probably void my warranty. I am leaning toward having a local drivrshaft shop here in Nashville rebuild my shaft putting the u joints back in phase...

Any chance the Tremor shaft assembly can be installed on my FX4?

Not sure Mark. When I go deeper in the accelerator, it hauls the mail so the boost is there with more throttle. It just has a flat spot at about half throttle at 3500 in 5th or 6th. I'm going to try Sport mode and see if that helps. I had a 2014 2.0 Escape that was a completely different running...

Ben, I'm new to the forum and joined due to my brand new 21 Ranger having the exact issue. Dealer replaced my driveshaft assembly with no improvement. Tech talked to me and said the he attempted to put the two halves in phase but the shaft has master splines that force it into one position only...

I agree. It only happens in the one situation so I either accelerate slower or go a little harder. Almost feels like the ECU is pulling boost or timing until I push it harder.

Thanks much. Any thoughts on the tech's comments about the drive shaft being out of phase? That sound like something that a shim couldn't correct. Maybe a manufacturing error by Spicer.
