  1. SCOOP! 6 door Ranger!

I should have taken a photo, but there are some houses being built behind me and I saw a 6 door truck pull up the other day. I'm guessing it was one of the construction managers. I thought I was experiencing some glitch in the matrix or something, but apparently this is a thing for some people...
  2. LOL...local shops charging me $400 to put level kit on my Ranger.

My dealer charged me $500 for my level. For dealer prices I thought that was good. It included the alignment and retightening 300 miles later. I've also had enough times where I cheaped out at smaller shops and ended up paying more to fix their screw ups, so I don't mind paying a little more...
  3. Cracked windshield

That's really weird, I had a crack filled and an entire windshield replaced when I lived in California. Didn't pay a dime regardless of my deductible. Maybe call some other glass places? Kinda sounds like the guy you talked to didn't know what he was doing maybe?
  4. Ranger at Shot Show

Check out what I added to my Ranger Haha, I wish! This was on Primary Arms Facebook feed from Shot Show
  5. must mods with forscan ?????

Yeah, but I'd have to look at my laptop for exactly what I changed. I took a bunch of screenshots just in case I wanted to change things back. There's still a chime when first getting in the truck, but the door open chime and seatbelt chime bugged me the most.
  6. Rangers in SNOW

I didn't think of it but I should have taken some better shots while I was out driving on some snowy dirt roads over the weekend, but oh well, here's this one.
  7. must mods with forscan ?????

I tried the fog lights when turning and it really didn't do anything noticable. Instead I have the fog lights come on instead of the headlights for day time lights, and fogs also on at night. Eventually I want to get the raptor grill and wire the lights on that to the fog lights so that's on...
  8. Headlight brightness

I never aligned mine after a 2.5" level. They are probably a tad too high, but I like the extra light at night and I don't drive on people's ass anyway. So far doesn't seem to be an issue. All this talk about aiming headlights reminds me of a time, years ago, riding in a friend's beat up...
  9. Stock offset?

As mentioned, +55 is the stock wheel offset. I've been looking at rim/wheel combos and what I've read boils down to 265/70/17 and a 17" rim with +25 offset should not rub or poke out too much. Some have gone to as low as +18 offset without rubbing, but some do so your milage may vary. I'm no...
  10. 2021 Ranger XLT w/6” lift and 35s!

I like it, think it looks great! What lift is that? How does it ride? (honestly, because I'm not buying it lol)
  11. Mishimoto CAI Installed

Stage 3 had a sale over the summer on top of a coupon for the intake. I wasn't planning on getting this until after getting the Ford tune and exhaust, but it was a good deal. I'm also looking to get the Borla exhaust, I just wish I could find a Ranger out in the wild with one so I could hear...
  12. Mishimoto CAI Installed

So I've been monitoring things with the torque pro app and noticed the fuel trim bank 1 long term is usually hovering around +7 to +10% ranges while idling, and when driving casually may drop to around 0 to 4% or higher. Am I correct that this shouldn't often go above +/-3%? I always use 91...
  13. Mishimoto CAI Installed

I haven't noticed a difference in sound, at least not from inside the cab with the windows down. Initially I thought I could tell a difference when getting on it at highway speeds - but if there is a difference it's slight at best. I used to have an Acura Integra and the cold air on that acted...
  14. Mishimoto CAI Installed

It's pretty easy, I just watched Mishi's youtube video showing how to do it and took my time. Edit: Easy as in someone who doesn't do vehicle mods often. The hardest part was my short ass reaching over when I needed to bolt down the back.
  15. Mishimoto CAI Installed

I installed my Mishimoto cold air intake last weekend. I had originally been planning to get a Roush CAI, but when I saw Mishimoto's I thought the design was much better. I have no other mods but plan to get a Ford Performance tune and exhaust next - this CAI was on sale, otherwise I probably...
  16. chirp sound coming from the engine

It's definitely annoying they didn't do anything about it. Even if nothing is "wrong", it seems a small dab of grease could help it. Might do that myself, just not sure what would be best to use so it doesn't inadvertently collect dust and get gummed up.
  17. Did the Forscan thing for mushy brakes, now warnings on cluster!

Nah don't think like that. Nothing was damaged and now you have better brakes. I would just stick with the basic stuff like turning off chimes, changing the startup picture or whatever. Just take your time when making changes. I've been taking screenshots on my laptop of all changes just in...
  18. FIX YOUR MUSHY BRAKES

I just came to look for info on the wireless OBDLink MX+ and found this thread. This whole procedure took less time than my test drive around the neighborhood. Now the brakes feel like they should. I have a 21' built on 12/20 for what it's worth. I feel like I owe someone a case of beer now...
  19. 285 70 17 Wildpeaks are on!!!

That looks good, like how the truck should have come stock. I'm leaning towards new wheels with tires to avoid spacers...but that's pretty much how far I want mine to stick out. If I had the cash I'd really love a 6" lift. But for now my cheapo level kit is just fine
