I would hold off doing anything until you know what the fluid temperature was when observe it at ā6ā. @TJC has a system set for fluid levels at different temperatures. It really makes a difference in 10 to 15 degrees with how much the fluid expands. You may be ok
For what the 4 Runner in that configuration sells for it should be compared to the 6G Ranger Raptor. That would negate a lot of the plusās for the Toyota. Maybe all of them. I know your disdain for Ford and thatās understandable. But comparing a 5 year old lesser trim level pickup to a brand new...
Donāt forget the two bolts to drop the carrier bearing. Also make sure your differential has the four bolt flange. Tremors and some non Tremors that have had a driveshaft replaced under warranty have the 8 bolt Rzeppa joint that TW doesnāt offer a drive shaft for.
Anxious to see results before I install mine. I did go with their complete setup, bearing and all. But Iām not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Nice! Mine came this week too. I went with the complete bearing and the street bushing. Will have to wait until May 8th when my friendās lift is available. Will be greasing the slip yoke also. Looks to be a really good quality product.
As I understood the latest TSB was to address the F clutches wearing into the un-anodized outer shell. With the updated outer shell now being anodized and supposedly harder could the updated clutches and plates be a different steel material more compatible with the anodized shell and not so much...
Great! Thatās the updated outer shell or ātrash canā . Thatās what the latest TSB is addressing for the post cdf drum update trucks ( 08/16/22 and later production trucks).
So you āshouldā be ok in that aspect.
