Thanks! Absolutely, the OnX6+ Dual Control 30". All Baja all the time. I've got 7 fixtures of theirs on the truck right now and more waiting to go on til I have time to wire them up.
Wired up my light bar this weekend...oh yeah, and put the prototype v1 bumper on the truck! Refining things now but I'm really happy with where it's at for being a prototype.
Then took it to a Ranger meetup here in SoCal.
Took the prototype leafs out for some more testing this weekend and a camping trip. So smooth and buttery over things that would scare the crap out of the stock leafs both high and low speed. It's a whole new truck and once I feel they've had significant enough off road miles on them for you...
If you can afford it, the adjustability, strength, and function of the SVC billet arms are second to none imo. They're running amazingly on mine and I beat them up more than most.
Took the truck out for a fun camping trip this weekend and to test the prototype leafs some more. Rolls and flexes over stuff that would terrify the stock leafs like butter, high and low speed. I'm so happy with how they feel; it's so planted, stable, and smooth all the time.
Leitner designs rack (with a lot of stuff attached and rtt up top). So easy to use, super strong, super functional and my bed is completely open for stuff. Only downside...not cheap, but you get what you pay for imo.
Haha ok more stable than a sway bar and leafs makes sense for that application. For offroading I'm going the other way, designing leafs and then traction bars.
Cool! I'm glad someone figured out a less crazy expensive way to do it. Granted I still (for my intended purpose) prefer leaf springs and it was yet another reason I bought the Ranger specifically. But if it is just for decent to well paved road comfort someone is looking for, there are tons of...
That is a good solution if you want to spend the $25k or so to link the rear end of the truck (which I think has been done once and is pretty cool), but on any good aftermarket rear shocks, the shocks are no longer the limiting factor in either compression or rebound situations, the leafs are.
I'm working on progressive rate leaf springs that will result in a softer street ride, more suspension travel, and more off road capability. I have a couple threads going in this section and in the general and will keep them updated as I can as progress continues. We're in testing right now...
Yeah I wish I didn't a lot of times but some of us are stuck here (family, business, best nature both in quality and variety in possibly the world so there are good things). But man once even one of those dominoes falls itll be tough to keep me in ca. They do everything they can to destroy...
I think this chart has well outlived its top end. Time to add the 7-10k, 10-15k, 15k+ categories so some of us can...cry more about it...maybe never mind don't add those haha.
As soon as I feel they're exactly right and ready for that, then yes. And mine will be a similar height raise (about 1.5") I'm going for travel and ride quality not height. The higher you go you start making sacrifices in other areas unless the front is built correctly to match. And currently...
Nice I wish I did, I haven't taken the time to seek out that info and learn and don't have anyone in my life who knows all that stuff so its fallen by the wayside. And my understanding is it operates only on stored frequencies some of which are listed as and blocked to being listen only (unless...
Yep from what I understand there was a legal tightrope that was walked to get these registered for non license use. You can call the company and they will explain much better than I can. I'm a truck guy not a radio guy haha it just works well.
I use these guys products in all my vehicles for phone and tablet mounts. Not cheap, but they work really well and I've never had any issues including in race type vehicles. They'll handle whatever abuse you can throw at them in my experience. https://mobarmor.com/
Nope, no license required to operate according to the owner. Talked with him and he said like everyone else they used to be one of those that you needed a license but nobody got one but they just recently put a ton of time and money into getting the product approved for no-license operation. No...
Cool! The Alu-Cab is supposed to be a great setup, bummer that its held up right now that'll be a fun travel setup.
And interesting from Radflo, that means their full droop travel is likely stock length. Were they sold as stock replacement length? Because if they were then they would likely be...
Way softer but hit a bump, off camber turn, or sidewalk and it keeps the wheels on the ground and in a drop out, the truck just sits down into it quickly and solidly (honestly and truly, better than some purpose built trucks I've ridden in). Body roll is slightly more on highway ramps etc but...
