I have the same 18" wheels and pondering upsizing like you did when I need new rubber. Did you have your speedo adjusted? I think it should be a 2-3 mph difference at ~65 mph.

Got my rear eibachs in last night, about an hour. not too bad. I had to craft up a lever system with a spud bar and wood blocking under the truck to get compression to get the bottoms into their seat. All in all not a bad job. Truck rode and handled great, much better, on the way in to work...

Does anyone use a floor jack to raise the rear of the truck to gain spave for the new shock install? Thinking lift under the hitch to raise the rear.

Haha, this is so true. It is a downward spiral progression. I had a 15 Tacoma and at the end I was averaging 12-14 mpg. Everything I did, reduced mpg by a little. Stock > +1 size duratracs > sliders > lift > bigger tires again > wheel spacers > skids > mo beefy skids > front bumper > rear...
