  1. [solved] I’m in the middle of nowhere right now and have multiple faults.

Do you by any chance know which relay I put in the wrong place? I was swapping relays to see if that was the issue but I guess I forgot to put it back in the right place. I also didn’t realize some of them are GA and some are HA. 4wd is not engaging.
  2. [solved] I’m in the middle of nowhere right now and have multiple faults.

Thank you for writing this. I was really hoping you’d have something to say today and you didn’t disappoint. You were right last time about my BJB being bad causing the car to be stuck in 4L. Took the dealer months to figure out what was wrong. Thank you everybody else for your suggestions as...
  3. [solved] I’m in the middle of nowhere right now and have multiple faults.

Truck on start up gives the following faults: - service advancetrac - hill start assistance fault - pre collision assistance fault - service steering - low tire pressure (this one is international) The app gives me the following faults: - electronic power steering has detected a fault. - hill...
  4. Aftermarket Headlights - Wiring & Issues (Group Help)

I want them on at all times, regardless of daytime or nighttime when the truck is on auto. Currently tapped into pin 6 with the forscan mod above. It seems to be on both at night and day. Is there an issue with this setup?
  5. Aftermarket Headlights - Wiring & Issues (Group Help)

I’ve read through this all and am still confused. I have a Lariat. I have my grille lights on a relay. For the trigger, can I just set DRL to always bright in forscan, tap pin 6, then be on my way? I’ve done this and don’t notice any issues yet but I obviously don’t know if things look weird...
  6. Any advice for tapping into the trailer pins for off-road chase lights?

Do you think it’s just a run of the mill SAE 2 pin harness that I can order on the internet to plug in? I really only need constant power. I’ll install a wireless remote switch to get the lights on/off.
  7. Any advice for tapping into the trailer pins for off-road chase lights?

From what I’ve read, there’s one somewhere under the wheel well on the driver side of the bed. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/driver-side-rear-wiring-harness.8158/
  8. Any advice for tapping into the trailer pins for off-road chase lights?

Thanks for the comments. Right now I’m leaning towards getting to that harness that’s vacant. Does anybody know what kind of clip it uses so I can order an opposite version? I read a bunch of posts and couldn’t find any info. It looks like a lot of people just tapped the wires which I really...
  9. Any advice for tapping into the trailer pins for off-road chase lights?

My first choice would be to somehow turn the cargo lamp on even at drive speeds but I can’t figure out how to do that in Forscan. My second choice would be to have a truck with zero electrical issues and plenty of access. I’d add chase lights the normal way by splicing and running a cable to...
  10. Colorado ARE MX (mid rise) canopy topper - 5' bed

Where did you end up selling this? I really need one but cant find any toppers for sale used.
  11. [SOLVED] Engine won’t turn off, 4wd issues

@Airline_Tech was right. (if you DM me which liquor store you prefer, I’ll buy you a case of beer). They replaced the battery junction box and 4 days later truck has no issues. Kinda sucks they threw all these parts at it (BJB, PCM, 4wd motor, transfer case, driveshaft bearing) and the carfax...
  12. [SOLVED] Engine won’t turn off, 4wd issues

Every day I wake up expecting nothing and I’m still disappointed. Today they told me the truck isn’t ready for pickup because it seems it needs a new battery junction box. Airline Tech, you were right. But get this, they’re saying it’s not a powertrain warranty part and want me to pay $1,100...
  13. [SOLVED] Engine won’t turn off, 4wd issues

They’re claiming they were able to replace just the 4WD relay and that fixed the issue. I’m picking it up tomorrow. We’ll see.
  14. [SOLVED] Engine won’t turn off, 4wd issues

They made me go find a second key and drive it to them in the middle of a workday. They said if I don’t I’d need to pay $225 for a new key because the new PCM needs two keys. Surprise surprise. The new PCM didn’t fix the issue. A relay is staying energized. Now they’re saying it will take up...
  15. [SOLVED] Engine won’t turn off, 4wd issues

Not me. It’s all being billed as warranty. I don’t care if it’s the dealer or FoMoCo.
  16. [SOLVED] Engine won’t turn off, 4wd issues

I told them I think it’s the BJB or harness. They believe it’s the PCM. Its getting installed monday so we’ll know more then.
  17. [SOLVED] Engine won’t turn off, 4wd issues

Thanks for everybody’s help. I was putting off checking the pins/wiring until this weekend but it looks like ol’ Henry Ford had other plans for me. I unlocked this cool little light on my dash today. I really like how it matches the colors of my vintage california license plate. Really ties the...
  18. [SOLVED] Engine won’t turn off, 4wd issues

Definitely agree with all you said. Also, Airline Tech, please DM me your favorite national chain restaurant or liquor store so I can buy you a round.
  19. [SOLVED] Engine won’t turn off, 4wd issues

I hate that you’re right. Drove the truck today without the relays and had the same issues come up. I think my “fix” from last night was just jostling the BJB into compliance when I removed the relays. Do you have any advice on which harnesses and wiring to look at first (like in what order) so...
