I would say it’s safe. Based on the construction of my ARE Overland topper, I believe you can do it. My installed said that the overland topper has a 250# dynamic weight rating (same as in the video).
I will have my ARE Overland topper installed in about two weeks. At that point, I will be in a position to report back on drive quality, ride height impact, fitment, etc. If you all have some specific before and after question let me know.
Good looking build. What size spare are you running? Is that the same as your wheels and tires or the factory spare? I’m curious the max size of spare you can fit under the bed. Mine looks like I can go about an inch or two larger than my stock 265/65/17.
I didn't buy front seat covers. The rear seat covers are necessary to protect against the inevitable messes caused by the kids. After seeing how well these fit and look, I'm considering getting front seat covers too. I can be as messy as the kids according to my wife!
Thanks for posting the instructions. Has anyone installed these lights next to the adaptive cruise control sensor? If so, any issues with the adaptive cruise control operations?
