Thank you For sharing. Copying once I can find the plate in stock (and not at RM’s $16 shipping fee).
Did you secure the track to a plate underneath the tray (e.g., a thin sheet of aluminum), or were washers enough? Do you know what size/length bolt?
Moved from a spacer kit to coil overs recently. Different look, ride, and capability.

Hi Richie,
I'd second Frenchy Chris' remarks, in particular if you want a true front and rear lift to gain capability and clearance.
I'm not a drive train/suspension specialist, and there are engineering and mechanical oracles on this forum happy to help. That said, I went through the same...
Thank you Kimball
I've not experienced any significant interference beyond what the case's limitations pre-installation. The case did not fully extend to parallel with the bed rail. As you hit on, the tailgate support cable stops it. Where I've located mine, the fire extinguisher stops the...
Took time out this weekend to install a Mountain Hatch tailgate board and the Undercover Swing Case. I also added a small fire extinguisher to the set up.
Mountain Hatch: About as easy as it gets. Screws out, screws in, enjoy. The only change I made was to paint the MH-provided screws and...
CORRECTION: it was 87. I went by the gas station used for the last two fill-ups, and they only offer 87, 91, and 93. So the cheapest was 87. Lost in translation.
Appreciate it. Seems Ford recommends same (87+).
Admittedly we didn’t give it much thought (I’m not the primary driver; will flag to the household); have been running 85 in the F150 without issue.
Will Low octane levels lead to tangible blow-by? Assume so based on above.
Hi John, was running Mobil’s 85; cheapest. Reading this string, and in particular your insights, I gather that’s not been the best choice.
You think that could be a contributing factor?
We’ve had the Ranger for two months; two weeks of which it sat at the dealer (separate post on software...
I’ll throw my hat in this unfortunate ring. Oil change last week at 4,000.
Checked it today - wreaks of gas and is at slightly elevated levels. April 2019 engine build, if that’s still a consideration here.
Will keep checking, and our driveway isn’t the most level place to check, but I...
Update: I received the truck back today. Seems to be no worse for the wear (aside from 13 days out of pocket).
Ford sent over an engineer to the dealership today. He/she uploaded the software needed to restore the ECU, and was able to adjust the system for the new tire size.
The dealership...
Day 12. Same result. Dean Sellers Ford techs keep trying updates, reportedly with Ford assistance, which continue to fail. Dealership claims it's a Ford software problem. Ford had to send someone out. Ford is off until Monday for the holiday. Truck sits. Trips cancelled. Etc.
Hi Phil. Indeed. We've taken all three of our Fords to them (F150, Escape, Ranger). This issue seems to be an anomaly, and software laden (rather than the techs, who are trying to help). Annoying, but small relative to all that's going on these days.
UPDATE: A week and a day later the truck is still down. The Ford software patch did not work as promised. According to Dean Sellers Ford (Troy, Michigan), they are at a loss and now have to wait on a Ford engineer.
Upside, if the patch didn't work it may be localized to my truck. Downside, it's...
Hopefully it's not the case and Synch reset fixed it for you - but FYI, I'm having a system ECU struggle here and it's rooted in a software problem on Ford's end...
For what it's worth - per my Michigan-based dealer, Ford is dealing with a software problem for 2019+ Rangers which may result in the truck disassociating itself from the VIN as well as causing all body-based errors to trigger. They are aware and attempting to disseminate a patch NLT Wednesday...
