Question for the great knowledgeable folks here.
Been on a long road trip close to 5000 miles. After first 2000 started getting fuel smell. Searched here and a few other members had same issue after long trip no real reason determined just went away. Did same for me slowly went away just made...
Should be, but up to Officer asking the question. I think they are better and safer than chains or cables. There are some good head to head comparisons online.
Auto Sox’s are good, used them on a Subaru Forester that would not go up a slick ice driveway. Put socks on rear wheels and problem solved.

Not the correct size butt he same product.
Not sure if California will accept them or not have heard different responses.
I bought these for my Ranger (2021 Lariat FX4 with Fox 2.5 suspension) that has 285/65/18 KO2 tires. Did not need to use them, but tried them one time on an icy offroad hilly trail. They really bit into the hardened packed/ice mix used them on the rear tires . I have about 500 to 600 lbs extra...
Correct, unless BDS finally modified it for cast iron spindles. I looked into it with my 2021 FX4, and they only fit aluminum spindles I wanted the 3.5 lift. I talked to them many times, kept saying we were working on it. Then the Bronco came out and I think all resources went to that. Got tired...
Had that happen years ago, and would not wish it upon anyone. One of the scariest days of my life, and will never forget it. For a split second thought it was a gun shot then it hit me what had happened. I think growing up, and learning to drive on snow and ice saved me that day. Total loss of...
Lot of good advice best is to think it through and make sure your wants and needs are the same. I love my rack setup and no issues. You need to remember if you want a tonneau cover it will most likely need to be a rollup ver. My only dislike is the RTT on the rack having to fold it up if wanting...
I have the RCI 12 inch high aluminum rack with Tonneau cover adapters. I liked this one because of the adjustability and the 3 cross braces. I drilled into the bed rail did not feel secure enough with clamps for off-roading. I paid around $1100-1200 over 3 years ago.
Online I just seen Truck...

They have probably saved the forum members here millions.
I know I have learned a lot reading their replies.
Sincere Thanks to both of you!
Two smaller manufactures I want to check out in person are Warhorse Overland in CO and USHI Outdoors in NC. Both have decent sounding ones somewhat under $10K. Have seen the bigger name brand ones at Expo’s, but most of those push close to $15k for a starting point. USHI has a brand ambassador...
Sorry, but price on those is just crazy not interested in paying over double what I paid for my 2021 Lariat FX4 on a trailer. Even with up grades on the truck the trailer is still 1.5 times more expensive. I know you get what you pay for, but to me there is also a point where things don’t make...
That’s what I like about the Canadian trailers they are using the Cruisemaster suspension. Where as in the US it is either a Solid Axle with Leaf Springs, Torrsion or Timbren axle setup. I think the Cruisemaster is a better overall setup.
Edit
Yes you need an articulating hitch most have the...
Thanks for the reply, yes there is a lot of options out there. The one you listed looks nice, but maybe too many extras for me. Will take a look at it, another issue is they need to be US certified to make importing easier. The one I was looking at had a nice bear bones version with just the...
Hello, I have been doing a lot of research, and looking online for an offroad trailer. I came across a nice looking prospect from a company in Canada. I know there is some forum members here from the Great North. Was wondering if any of you have ever heard of Tipella Backcountry. I believe they...
I would keep it, but that is me I like to not have any car payments. You have been paying for 6 years on this truck. If you get a new truck you will probably pay for another 6 years. Keep the truck save money for 4 to 6 years at least. Even a major repair is cheaper than a new loan. Plus you...
This thread is bringing back a lot of memories and also many times when you remembered nothing. Lucky there was no cellphone videos back then. I am sure there would be some embarrassing moments for everyone?
