  1. Average life of the stock battery?

If using NOCO 10 battery charger+maintainer should I connect negative to chassis ground?
  2. HELP! Bed lighting with Wolf Haus 12V power and pigtail!

Not necessarily but it wouldn’t hurt. If there’s a bare wire or something goes wrong it’s not going to blow fuse on truck and will be isolated at the lights.
  3. Remote Transmission Dip Stick Aftermarket Support?

I did but there was only one on Passenger side near exhaust/cat.
  4. Remote Transmission Dip Stick Aftermarket Support?

Installed mine months ago but finally got around to installing PPE aluminum pan yesterday. Removing the fluid through the dipstick with a hand transfer pump from Harbor Freight was A little bit of a pain Next time I’ll use a 12 V pump, but still easier than taking a shower of ATF.. When I pulled...
  5. Easiest way to change transmission fluid?

Just changed mine yesterday Definitely easy if you have a Fitzstick like others have said. Worth every penny and way easier to check after. BTW think I overfilled going to siphon some out later today. I’d recommend getting a aftermarket pan, new filter and the seal where filter goes in...
  6. HELP! Bed lighting with Wolf Haus 12V power and pigtail!

I have wolf haus 12v spit with bed lights wired. This is how I did it not sure if you have a 3way switch or not. From what you posted looks like 2way. But here’s my instructions and how I modified it slightly. On my instructions it says to run power wire to battery. This is unnecessary because...
  7. off road jacks, jacking points?

I have these attachments for Hi-Lift https://a.co/d/9XwFVqb https://a.co/d/9DXsPN8 Also bought Bronco attachment for jack that comes with Ranger for when I’m not on trail. Did have to modify bronco attachment a little bit used step bit to make hole bigger to line up threaded insert.
  8. If you are thinking about changing your transmission fluid, read this first

$7.49 transfer pump from harbor freight can’t beat that price even for one time use. I wouldn’t want to get my drill soaked in trans fluid. Or worst case drill too deep and hit something critical. To risky just my opinion...
  9. Average life of the stock battery?

I’m about to upgrade battery looking into Odyssey Still on original battery https://www.odysseybattery.com/products/odp-agm94r-h7-l4-battery-94r-850/ Made in USA! they’re pricey but worth in in my opinion. I found a local generator/elec. motor shop I can pick one up for $289.
  10. Best year for 5g ranger

Still on Original Battery Apr 19 build date. So just over 5 years. I changed my charge output to 90% via Forscan. And first 2 years it was a daily driver now just used for short trips and weekends. Both factors might have helped prolong battery life not 100% sure.
  11. Best year for 5g ranger

APR 19 build date no problems original owner. Bought it May 20 during Covid shutdown got a great deal and traded in a Focus I was upside down on. (Owed 10k more than it was worth) rolled that over into Ranger loan and now Ranger worth more than I own now. Never regretted buying it I don’t baby...
  12. Water/Mud Alternator Problems

Removed the flap no help except to let light in. From the bottom is the way to go just not sure if this part will actually work on Rangers without some modifications. The part is originally for Broncos. Or remove alternator and put it together at same time. I think this brass spacer on shield...
  13. Water/Mud Alternator Problems

Definitely have to go from the bottom looking into taking off driver wheel and one of those rubber flaps. Just to see better and a little easier to install Also this is the part I was referring to it’s called EVAP canister tube. A little delay now though found some grease on front pass...
  14. Water/Mud Alternator Problems

Don’t know what I was thinking. It attaches to the CAC outlet pipe I think it’s part of the EVAP system. But it needs to be removed for I can see behind alternator.
  15. Mishimoto Transmission Pan MMTP-RGR-19

https://a.co/d/bfiyAPF I was about to swap out my pan to PPE yesterday and watched YouTube video learned about little seal. Figured I’d order it’s cheap and I’m there might as well do it right the first time. Maybe this is why some are having issues after replacing filter and fluid.
  16. Mishimoto Transmission Pan MMTP-RGR-19

I don’t believe the Fx4 skids even cover the trans pan. And the pan is plastic that’s why I upgraded to ARB skids. So I don’t think the pan will be an issue with fx4 skids. The skids on left are Fx4 there is another skid that’s missing in picture but it only covers transfer case. The sids on...
  17. Water/Mud Alternator Problems

Started the project had to remove all skids Had to anyway going to install new PPE pan and new trans fluid soon just waiting on filter seal. But the problem with the shield from what I can figure out is it attaches behind the alternator and it’s extremely tight. It’s under this sensor and...
  18. What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

Haven’t had time to install yet. I think I need to order another stud bolt and 2nuts I’ll just pick them up at dealership. Might start it after work today need to pull off ARB skids to make job a little easier and to take pictures of course. Will definitely post up as soon as I complete it.
  19. Best 2.5 Reservoir Suspension for the Ranger

I tried that also during installation. I applied a lot of marine grease on each cushion and the one leaf without a cushion. I Might have to put more grease now. But. I think the extra cushion couldn’t hurt where it’s just metal on metal. Plus I already bought the F-150 cushions
  20. Best 2.5 Reservoir Suspension for the Ranger
