Thanks!! I love the look and stance, which is why I don’t want to change up what I’ve got.
I’ve pretty much decided that I’m going to go the tedious route of removing the factory and installing the low profile. I think I’m going to save some $$ and do it myself rather than pay the specialty...
Got my new tires and wheels installed today. Running 276/55/20 open range ATs and 20” xd spy II wheels with 18mm offset. Did a 2.5” level along with it but do have some minor rubbing when in reverse at full lock.
Really happy with the look and overall setup. A little iffy about the rubbing though.
My [limited] understanding is that the difference maker would be the load rating and bracket used. So depends on those things as far as what makes one better than the other for towing/recovery I believe? Otherwise, it’s just cosmetic.
So here’s what is on the menu:
Open range a/t tires 275/60/20
20x9 with 18mm offset xd spy II wheels satin black with dark tint
And 2 1/2” leveling
Wheels supposed to be here within the week. I’ll get pics up and final specs when it’s all said and done.
Got rid of the gray/silver valance (plasti dip) and changed out the tow hooks for a shackle conversion from rough country.
Only thing I’m wondering is if I should add color to the shackles. I’ve pretty much blacked out everything on the outside (with exception of not yet smoking the taillights...
Yeah I got them on eBay. I actually had ordered the plain black ones and they sent me the carbon. When I messaged them they were like oh yeah we’re outta the other ones. Bleh.
So I kept these and decided I like them enough than to bother with returning and buying from someone else haha
I didn’t take off the fender either. Just used masking tape and wrapping paper (because that’s what I had around) to guard off for over Spray. And like he said, it’s so easy to take off and start again if you don’t like it.
Did a bit more plasti dip to black out the fender badge. And we had a break in the rain for a beautiful day, so decided to snap a couple pictures of her lookin so pretty. Got a few more subtle changes coming up.
