The Tacoma has been more reliable for every year of its production and I’d expect that trend to continue. If you can deal with the seating position (although the 2020 Tacoma gets power seats) low roofline, Powertrain shifting, and drum brakes over the Ford/GM/ and soon to be FCA reliability and...
Go to tfltruck.com and watch one of their fuel economy loop test. It will show the hand method and why it is most accurate. The fuelly.com app works the same way. I think fuelly is the best website to track. Currently the 2.3 Ranger is averaging just under 19 mpg.
I’m Looking forward to seeing how it does in the TFL tow tests. I think the longer wheelbase/truck length and the largest disc brakes in the segment will help. One of the TFL guys did a short tow test with around 6500 lbs on flat ground and it did fine. Fortunately my towing is mostly flat...
I see no reason to compare the Gladiator to a full-size as they are in different classes. Like comparing the Ranger to a full-size Ram, it's apples to oranges. The Ram offers tons more capability for a much lower price due to rebates and discount pricing, but they are two different purposed...
JT is completely different vehicle than the JK and different frame and rear suspension and around a20” longer wheelbase than the JL. Pricing is all rumors but consumer reports and several other publications think it will start at around 34k. The base model will be a Sport crew cab 4x4 with Dana...
Ram consistently has the highest rating for ride comfort on full size trucks due to the coil link suspension vrs leaf springs. Interestingly enough the Jeep JT is going to have the same coil link suspension as well as a longer wheelbase 137 vrs 126 than the Ranger. The Dana solid front axle on...
I have a 2017 Fusion with Eco 2.0 i have 60k miles and it’s always had the vibration at takeoff. I was told it’s the wastegate by the service dept and nothing wrong. Maybe you can google ecoboost wastegate and see if that’s your issue.
I suspect the gas mileage will improve based off the Ecoboost results in my 2017 Fusion (purchased mid 2016). Seems to be picking up .5 mpg every 10k miles. Started out averaging 25 MPG mixed driving, at 60k I am now averaging 28 MPG mixed driving. Other than the wastegate rattling I have not...
It’s coming. Engineers are already working on it.
The current Ranger is a nice truck and a great alternative to midsize competitors that are currently out. Some folks will be happy to purchase a platform that other than the power train has been proven globally. The Ranger is due for a redesign...
targeted improvements for me would be 2.7 option, 37” rear seat legroom, 6’ bed option with crew, 60/40 split, back seat fold flat and up with flat floor. Current safety and tech is very good.
When the Ridgeline rolled out there were similar complaints for a variety of reasons. Some of those issues may apply here, including the rubber gasket sealing the door or the one sealing the window may not be installed or secured properly, also the door alignment may need adjustment to seal...
I would zip tie black wire mesh across the hole or buy an insert. I had a rock cause several hundred dollars worth of damage to my condenser. I cover all my gaps with mesh now. There are many styles available, including honeycombed that should match. Most inserts are under $100.
