  1. Access LED's on Cargo / 3rd. Brake Light Fixture on 2021 Ranger

Yep. You are right. The factory part is a sealed unit. Thanks. Does anyone know which aftermarket units most Ranger owners are using? I see multiple products online.
  2. Access LED's on Cargo / 3rd. Brake Light Fixture on 2021 Ranger

Does anyone know how the fixture for the cargo lights and third brake lights is opened? I have removed the fixture, which was a not problem, but I cannot figure out how to gain access to the LED's. (I'm upgrading them with brighter LED's). The back seems completely sealed and it does not appear...
  3. Light will not turn off

Thanks, yes that was the issue. Threw me off since it was not the actual headlamps. Now I know!
  4. Light will not turn off

Just took delivery of my 2021 Ranger. Everything was working fine, but just noticed the parking lights and the strip of lights that run on the outside of the headlamps will not turn off. It's been this way for over an hour, so it's not the normal delay. Tried restarting, but that does not solve...
  5. Why Does the Tacoma Dominate the Off-Road Pickup Segment?

I am picking up my new Ranger next week. I searched for over 8 months to buy the right truck. Tacoma negatives. Poor / sluggish passing power (Number one complaint in Tacoma discussion groups). Poor headlamps (no LED's) except for the top build model. Poor cornering (again, discussion group...
  6. Ford performance tune update

I'm considering a tune on my 2021... thanks for the update. One quick question. I understand you can only use premium after the tune? Thanks in advance.
  7. Ranger has fresh competition...

Was considering both the Ranger and the Frontier. After seeing the new Frontier, I'm glad I went with the 2021 Ranger. Build (and general) options on the Nissan are extremely limited. Some professional reviewers were not impressed with the 2020 engine (same engine). I'm sure it's a well-made...
  8. Tactical Bed Rack and Rolling Bed Cover Compatibility

Thanks for posting... nice set-up. I'm surprised you were able to get the cover to fit, as I'm told the brackets holding the bed rack take up a very slight about of width space (1/16" maybe), but just enough so the cover does not fit tight across, or at all? I'm still planning on using the...
  9. Tactical Bed Rack and Rolling Bed Cover Compatibility

    Thanks everyone. Drill baby, drill...!!!
  10. Tactical Bed Rack and Rolling Bed Cover Compatibility

Thanks! That was exactly what I was thinking. I think I'll do what OFC Ranger suggested and just mount the rack on top of the the actual truck bed rails. In other words, just like the picture of the Toyota set-up but with the adapters mounted on top, with no side bracket extending downward to...
  11. Tactical Bed Rack and Rolling Bed Cover Compatibility

Thanks, but as I noted, the company does not know if they actually work, or what they work with. I'm trying to find someone who has successfully made it work.
  12. Tactical Bed Rack and Rolling Bed Cover Compatibility

Here is a picture of what I am trying to do. This is a Toyota, but the idea is the same. The only problem I see is that the rails for the bed cover would not be 100% flush against the inner truck rails once you add the adapters. Although it's a very small space, I'm not sure the tolerances would...
  13. Tactical Bed Rack and Rolling Bed Cover Compatibility

Thanks. I was hoping to avoid drilling into the actual truck's bed rails, but I don't see any other option as both the rails for the bed cover and the rack mounts use the same base / connection expanders.
  14. Tactical Bed Rack and Rolling Bed Cover Compatibility

Hi everyone, I'm building a storm intercept / volunteer EMS concept using a 2021 Ford Ranger Super Crew Cab. I'm having trouble matching a tactical bed rack with a manual, rolling bed cover. (Not electrical). The two items I wanted to use are the RX 12"-18" Adjustable Rack...
  15. Anyone check out the Bronco yet?

I actually have a Bronco Sport ordered, that will be here on January 15th. I'm declining it in favor of a 2021 Ranger Lariat. The Bronco Sport is just too small. Otherwise, it's a great vehicle for weekend trips and is loaded with good stuff.
  16. WxNerd2015's Hot Pepper Red FX4

How did you mount the rail on the dash to the How did you mount the rail to the dash tray? I know some of them snap out, but I would think the weight of the radios would pull it out? Thanks.
  17. WxNerd2015's Hot Pepper Red FX4

Thanks SO MUCH!!!! for posting this. I'm building a storm chasing / volunteer EMS vehicle using a 2021 Ranger. Although I use to work (while in college) installing 2-way radio systems, this information is excellent. Thanks for taking the time to post!!! I'll be posting images of the build in...
  18. Wiring Access Through Firewall

Thanks. We also have to run a 12v. feed from the battery directly into the cabin for a fuse box to power a lot of the equipment beyond the existing cabin fuse box taps and USB / cigarette lighter ports.
  19. Wiring Access Through Firewall

Hi everyone, first post. I'm building a storm intercept / volunteer EMS concept vehicle for the spring based on a 2021 Ranger Lariat. We will need to run wiring through the firewall into the cabin from the engine compartment for various accessories and switches. Does anyone know if there is...
