my intent is to have it turned off/at zero when not towing. My OCD just couldn't take it
  2. Ford licensed TBC Install Instructions

Well I received mine today and it’s definitely different than the other Redarc. Cable is a different plug and looks shorter than the others that I have read about. Knob is different too, it now has a trailer logo on it and thanks to Ford for not even assuring that the rubber cap is oriented...
  3. Side Steps - Yay or Nay?

I have the for two reasons, as most said my passenger requires them, and without them the edge of the seats get destroyed faster. With the less that heavy duty leather in my Lariat I can live with the nerf bars to save my upholstery....

  6. Redarc Tow Pro Elite Install

yeah I thought the same, then I figured WTH, $70 more for my piece of mind. I don’t tow much either but we’ve been considering a travel trailer so I purchased the Ford unit and will do the installation at home. 7. Redarc Tow Pro Elite Install

So that’s not the Ford unit correct? From what I’ve read through all the threads you really need the additional module Ford’s package has to ensure that your AEB woks in conjunction with the trailers brakes?
  8. Bug Deflector: Yes or No?

The AVS Aero is pretty much just a stuck on protection piece, I will say it’s a very good low profile solution. I haven’t had any issues with mine deflecting stuff negatively, it just stops the road debris from damaging the trailing edge of the hood.
  9. Bug Deflector: Yes or No?

I have the AVS AeroSkin as well but in chrome.... Looks good in my opinion
  10. What do you use this for?

  12. Ford licensed TBC Install Instructions

Okay, I hate to revive and revisit this mess but I have a question.... If you don't have Active Cruise Control, and your truck was not equipped with a tow package can you simply run the standard REDARC Toe Elite? My truck came with the basic 4 flat plug in, which I converted to the RV/4flat Ford...
  13. Ranger Tremor vs. Colorado ZR2 Bison

I test drove a fully Loaded Colorado before i decided on the Ranger. Ranger has more power, better styling and handling. The Colorado still felt like a mid 90's S10 heavily worked over. My Lariat 4x4 is a much better equipped and well rounded vehicle compared to the overly plastic filled and...
  14. Hood Deflector - OE vs Aftermarket

That’s the same as the AVS Aero I have it in Chrome and it looks awesome on my Lariat!

You can change that with FORSCAN mine are set to be on always, no time out. That’s why I went with a push switch instead of a pin switch. I am a control freak...lol
