No issues here so far, and I am just over 5k miles. And I guess I am lucky about the HVAC control as I have the XL/STX model. Simple control, and its up high.

Plan on changing oil when the oil life is up.
I've never owned a 4x4 since I've started driving in '87. I was going to get a 4x2 as I never had it and really didn't need one. I just knew better if it was really bad from the snow storm, I just stayed put.
When I was just out to test drive, there wasn't any 4x2 at the dealer...
No choice on the survey of "No gas in Oil smell".
I am at 4,800 miles on my Ranger, and still have the factory oil. I checked my oil and did not smell any gas in it. Just pure oil smell to me.
Winter gas up north drops our milage, and also I've been using the remote start too. And.. short trips to work and home.. so it really don't get warmed up.
I am just over 4,600 miles on mine, and love it..
Only thing that's bothering me is the poor milage for the winter.. Last tank, 13.5.. Ouch..
I do agree, the box/bed is high! Really had to reach over to get fire wood out today..

I just looked at mine, and yes you can turn it off. I haven't had any issues with mine yet. But then, we haven't had much snow here yet.
Go into your steering menu, "Diver Assist" and Pre-collision and you can turn off the breaking and something else. (going by memory. )
