Can’t agree more that the tone description is a lie. But the sound is similar to the AFE Apollo GT Axle Back. They both are straight piping with no muffler or resonator. Main difference is mine is factory 2.5”/2.25” to 3”. Not 3” from downpipe back.

I just vented to factory BOV to atmosphere. $3.99 bolt tightened plug from autozone for the factory vent tube to keep debris out, and now a nice swoosh blow off sound. Zip tied the vent tube to the side and we are good.

That’s where it’s wonky, because a 2.75” would probably be perfect, but a 2.5” or 3” pipe could be made to work if you’re welding in pipe. If you want to clamp it on....Maybe a 2.5”

I just knew because I put an old MBRP 3” tip on it before I changed to the AFE setup. I measure it out when I was looking at options! When I did the varex variable muffler on my 17 5.0 F150 I ran into the same thing.

Actual tailpipe exit is 3”. Muffler Inlet and outlet are 2.76” and 3”. They are kind of tricky the way they come out. That’s why I opted for the Apollo. Makes it solid 3” for endless possibilities with a straight through or center in center our muffler. Adding pictures to show what I mean-...

Any time! if I get the chance ill get some driving videos for you. Honestly like I said if you have it in sport and do some manual downshifts its sounds pretty cool. at about 15mph you drop it to first it will even hit the BOV, which I have VTA so its pretty cool.
