  1. Eliminating water from reaching the DPFE Sensor

IIRC it was in modified in the 90s , back in the early yrs of egr you could simply disable the EGR system with no noticeable effects - in fact disabling would allow many engines to run better. Should emission requirements be lessened it's possible egr systems may no longer be needed, some...
  2. Eliminating water from reaching the DPFE Sensor

Clean air act decades back reduced the Federal emission warranty on minor emission parts to 2yr/24k miles. Some states have longer coverage, CA comes to mind.
  3. Eliminating water from reaching the DPFE Sensor

I recall Ford making a big deal out of their improved EGR system, to me same old problem prone EGR as yesterday's EGR except that it's become more expensive to fix now and harder to troubleshoot. And of course it's only warranted for 2 yrs. now.
  4. Eliminating water from reaching the DPFE Sensor

they fused naturally, if I keep up with neck focused daily exercises the pain is low level, it competes with aching knees, ankles and worn out lower back. Consulted with my md regards sleeping aids and after reviewing the available options he recommended I stay with vaping 420 - and I have...

  6. Pro-Active Battery Replacement ?

Sulfation occurs from 2 scenarios- a battery habitually in a state of discharge(thank you bms) , the lesser the charge state the faster sulfation occurs. But high temps also promote sulfation, iirc 140 degrees F, in your climate this can happen when you shut the vehicle down, underhood temps...

Paddy is 85 and had been living in a Senior Citizens resdential home for a few year and made friends with Mary who is 82. One night they sat talking and Paddy says "Do you know what I miss most in here Mary?" "What do you miss most Paddy?" she asks "Sex" Paddy replies. "Oh Paddy" exclaims...
  8. I'm frozen in fear to even touch the transmission - sage advice please

I wouldn't let a shop like that touch my transmission, estimating the filter is probably flowing at 80% ? Do you change the engine oil on a regular basis ? why - because the oil accumulates particles that over time increase engine wear and over time the oil begins to degrade . Similar things...
  9. Trans Flush

yep - you can find a you tube video on how a Ford authorized flushing machine works - it is done with the engine running and it's using the tranny pump - same pump action as when driving the vehicle. The flushing machine's job is mostly to measure/regulate the in/out fluid - it's not the...

  11. Trans Flush

I used to use Mobil 3309 in my Saabs - Aisin tranny, also would buy Toyota type IV IIRC reasonably priced at some yota dealers and keep in mind Valvoline Maxlife meets or exceeds a lot of ATF specs, IIRC correctly yrs back Mobil 3309 wasn't synthetic.
  12. Trans Flush

yes I do think you are being overly cautious but many on here do what I consider over maintain. Unless you tow extensively or beat the snot out of your vehicle 20k is pretty early. I've seen a few say their atf fluid was "black" at 20k miles, I looked at mine at 40k and starting to shift from...
  13. Site Outage: Our Apologies

Heard a rumor - Dave and the dancing banana man , classic case of strange bed fellows ? The banning was possibly just a red herring ?
  14. What are you guys towing?

Today on US 285, near C-470, RV was once a Caliber. 285 has been improved over the yrs but still can be a dangerous road, lots of section where 2 lanes (one direction) merge into 1 lane and I seen multiple times were drivers are hell bent to get ahead of every car they possibly can, even if...
  15. What are you guys towing?

. To be legal - most states require one towing anything over 3k lbs. To be safe, especially towing in the mtns I'd recommend using one for towing lower weights.

  19. How about some Jokes [Admin: No Politics, Religion, Nudity, Explicit Posts]

Because in WV it wouldn't be newsworthy - probably a pretty common occurrence.
  20. How about some Jokes [Admin: No Politics, Religion, Nudity, Explicit Posts]

I'm thinking the powers that be might want to declare the RV uninhabitable and torch it - were it mine I would.
