  1. Sync 3 v3.4 Build 21020

Don't hold your breath... Everything follows a logical order...updates being the same. If the software is loss...it won't proceed. If it's missing a read point...it won't install. Check which version your Ranger is on...update that to the next version...proceed through the process. Then you...
  2. Sync 3 v3.4 Build 21020

You should care. It may be by size. But the more concern will be a better response from Ford, They want to be in business.
  3. Sync 3 v3.4 Build 21020

I'd keep randomly hitting the Ford server with your USB. That may be related to your own network and ISP. If you complete, that will enable you to take advantage of the updates that no one can get. LOL You may need the xml file from the previous updates to proceed. The xml file may be corrupt...
  4. Sync 3 v3.4 Build 21020

What I found is the xml file is slow to returning to the ranger. If you place the USB, whenever you drive, back in place..it will eventually complete the transaction. Then put that back on your computer. It will message you that the update is complete from the ranger display. Good luck,

Everybody is in IT... Whether you operate your home, car, or own a phone.,, This is not a peeing contest...it's customer service. You should be able to buy into a product and feel you made a good decision...not wonder if you would do it again. You can use your legacy stuff all day and be...

"Enough said...look at the Colonial Pipeline... Won't happen to us...right!!! The consequences and repair will cost just as much - and customers won't trust your company and go to a competitor. I'm an aggravated old fart that relies an, probably, outdated timed (as opposed to out dated )...

And that may be a solution. If I have to pay a bit extra to get the updates...and get them without burning fuel for a week...hell yea. I want to know that the vehicle I drive is the safest, most optimized. Why would you offer updates, or an update "option" if it meant nothing? You are in...

I'm hoping Ford wakes up. I realize I'm venting to the forum and the ethos.... The unfortunate thing for Ford...is that I'm learning. We are not the uneducated, unled minions of the 70z. People on this forum are educated, experienced, and successful owners...we expect to be treated as such...

Hope you and the wife enjoyed your meal P.A., Just to have you step in and share an insight is a validation and a recommendation to Ford. I'm sure they monitor these forums. It just seems reasonable that since Ford saw fit to have some advanced engineering applied to this Ranger...

That's not an update...that's a long term wait for an improvement. If everything operated as such...we'd never get ahead or even up to speed. Have your landscaper cut one perimeter of your yard at a time, let your dentist clean one tooth... See how you progress. Some things just shouldn't...
  11. NE FLA

I wish I was in Florida!!!
  12. Sync 3 v3.4 Build 21020

That is exactly my point. We put guys on the moon in the 60z, probably Mars in the near future...and we can't keep our trucks running in the best condition - on Earth. Daaaaaaa...uuuuuuuu...mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
  13. Sync 3 v3.4 Build 21020

These things should not be that hard. The Ranger may be a great truck, but only as good as the maintenance. This is a disappointment. How hard can it be to allow for WiFi upgrades. These are the things that I look for when I rebuy.
  14. Sync 3 v3.4 Build 21020

Then that may be the difference...I have the Lariat with the start button.

I used USB for the Synch. I never could find any other files to use with the USB...only by scanning from the Ranger. But these I can't complete because the Ranger shuts off.
  16. Sync 3 v3.4 Build 21020

Hey thanks...I'll try that. Oh well... I turned the Acc on (by the start button), hit it again to turn it off...the Ranger turned everything off. Maybe it's a model thing that won't work as yours does.
  17. Sync 3 v3.4 Build 21020

I can find a couple of files to update from, but the Ranger won't stay on long enough to finish the download. Is there a way to keep the Acc switch on without turning on the ignition?
  18. Loud bang from front end while driving. Hood release?

Better that stain...then any other...or missing parts.
  19. Bilstein 5100...Love it

Thanks for the info. I roughly tape measured the wheel well to the ground. It seemed to be about 2 inches to level. It's nice to not bump my head when I crawl under for an oil change. Sometimes an inch or two really does matter....
  20. Loud bang from front end while driving. Hood release?

One time when I tried to release the hood...it would not. I finally got the hood released by "who knows", then lubricated that hook/spring attachment. So far...has always released.
