I have the same module as the OP for a couple years now and love it. There is a lot of options you can do with it. If your windows are open when you hit lock, you can hit lock again when the windows are partially closed and it will stop the windows where they are. The unlock button does the same...
Almost looks like you got a bunch of paint dried in that corner of the socket. I would try scraping it out. Then once you get it out replace the plug. Just go to your local hardware store and get a new pipe plug, that's all it is.
Correction! My bad that is the drain plug, it has a magnet in...
WOW! 180K! My 2019 is just about to hit 40K. Just did the drive train fluids and to do my 40K oil change. Did the transmission pan, filter and fluid this spring.
Just a few quick questions. Did you have to turn the trucks DRLs off in the IPC menus to stop your XLT from using the low beams as DRLs? Do the DRL bars come on as soon as you start the truck, no matter where you have the light switch? One more, do the DRL bars come on bright during the day and...
The 5Gs do not have LSDs they are either open or E-lockers on the rear and all open on the front. So it really doesn't matter if the lube has friction enhancer or not.
The 5G Rangers do not have the door modules required to control the mirrors or power windows. There are two companies, that make aftermarket modules, both are from Australia. One is Redtec and the other is Trac Electronics. Make sure you you get a module designed to work with US or North...
Camped/traveled for a lot of years with the kids in a pop-up trailer. Started out with a used Palomino with the folding posts. That thing was dangerous putting down. Then moved up to a 10 foot Jayco. Saw the country in that. Now we have an Rpod by Forest River. Got tired packing and unpacking...
I agree you are not over-taxing the Ranger. My guess on the mileage is 10 to 10.5 mpg on the highway. Weight really does not affect mileage that much. It's frontal area! Do yourself and the transmission a favor, use tow/haul mode and lockout 9th and tenth gears. It will stop a lot of the...
Yes, the phone app can read DTCs and reset them. It cannot make changes to setup files or perform maintenance functions. To be able to do all the functions you need the full windows version with an extended license, either the free 2 month or the one year purchased license.
My bad! I stand corrected. I never stay on the home screen long enough to even look at it. I'm usually on the audio screen for my USB chip or the climate screen.
Just to educate the new. When you plug a trailer into the back of the truck. The truck detects that the trailer was connected, it then disables the rear parking sensors and the rear cross-traffic alarms. It also adjusts the BLIS signals based on the trailer length(s) entered/selected. This all...
Agreed, on my 2019 XLT I have I believe three slots I can enter trailer lengths into. When I plug the trailer in I can go into the menus and select A, B or C trailer. If I don't it defaults to A. Nothing to do with weight, simply adjusts the BLIS distance. Nothing called a profile.
What was the weather like, was it humid out at the time?
If your HVAC was in auto it may divert the air to the windshield and increase the air flow to prevent fogging if the inside and outside temps and humidity may cause it. It will even cycle the A/C and heat to dry out the air. Depending on...
Sounds like he finally got the last update forced on him. Must of still had the original version from when he bought it. There was a big graphical update early on. Probably that awful blue that was the default. I haven't run that in years.
Too bad you need Forscan to change it. I've been...
