Probably just a blend door actuator easy to replace. I had to replace one on the F150 with one hand. Took about an hour and good to go.

I like the box and magnet idea... I had field mice chew up some wires on my tractor and had to bring a generator and iron and fix a bunch of stuff. I have been using cotton balls and peppermint oil for a while now. Seems to work. I also trap them with that roller for a 5 gallon bucket it works...

You don't have to goto ford at all either way. FORScan and Cyanlabs will do what ever you need...

Not bad... I had to replace the screen and the APIM in the F150 because I was going from Sync 2 to 3. Not the issue with our Rangers. I think if my apim when out in the Ranger I would do away with ford sync all together. Under Warranty or not. This is something I would not want the dealer...

I would heat it up a little, but I would not start the truck that thing is too close to the exhaust you will probably get burned if that was hot... They put that thing in a bad spot for sure.
