My brother got rid of his Power Wagon and picked up a Model Y late last year. He’s only done a couple trips, and most of them have been to central Florida. He hasn’t run into any issues when it comes to charging, though as others have said here, Teslas greatest advantage is the charging...
Picked up a police-trade in Glock 22 Gen4 that I plan to use for camping/overlanding. While waiting for it the unfortunate school shooting happened in Texas, and all the “assaults weapons” ban talk picked up again, so I purchased Springfield Saint Victor in FDE as well.
The Glock did come with...
I drove through Richloam once when camping in the area. Very cool forest, but haven't experienced much of it. Have been to Citrus quite a few times since then. I'm not to fond of possibly getting into some deep stuff and possibly getting stuck, so I tend to stay away during the rainy season.
That’s fantastic! After having my tent mounted to my truck for over a year, I have considered running something similar. Unfortunately, my biggest hurdle is figuring out where to park it when not in use.
Did a little exploring over the weekend through Big Cypress National Preserve. Big Cypress is a cypress swamp adjacent to the Florida Everglades. While the Everglades get all the publicity, the preserve is just as important to South Florida’s ecosystem.
Thanks. They are Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Came off my brothers Power Wagin when he upgraded to 37’s. Size 285/70/17 with a 1.5” spacer on the factory wheels
Picked up a 4.5’ awning from Overland Vehicle Systems to mount on the rear of the truck. Now the tailgate area has shade when out camping. Also added a flagpole mount to the non-opening tent side of the truck.
Had the tent open overnight to air out after not having used it in a bit. Took the time to install the bug deflector I picked up on sale and gave the truck a quick wash.
My grandmother survived a stroke back in 2020 at the start of the pandemic at the ripe age of 99. She pushed on with a broken hip and all. She had another stroke about a month ago at 101 and survived that too. Unfortunately, after that she was no longer able to swallow and the family did not...
I contemplated getting the stubby, but I actually use it as reference for the height of my truck. The factory antenna is just a bit higher than my rooftop tent, so I know whether I not any entry or exit can damage the tent.
Neither truck will be a slouch, but it’s hard to beat the Raptor and factory warranty. In the end it depends what YOU want out of the truck. Here in South Florida you see F150 Raptors and soon I expect to see Bronco Raptors on the regular. The rarity of the APG Ranger conversion is special on...
No, you guys are 100% correct. The point here is to see how many people would be wanting an extended range fuel tank. But the same way there is a “NO” option, you can expect people to lay out their reason as to why they would not want one.
If I was the possible developer of this larger tank, I...
Whether people want it or not, that is the point of this thread/poll. It’s not just a yes and no, but as to why yes and no. I’m just as interested to hear why people don’t want it as much as the people that do.
In the future I would like to do more overland trips that really take me away from...
I’ve used that outlet to charge my iPhone, power my Iceco 12v fridge, and even charge my Bluetti AC50S.
Only time I’ve ever had an issue was trying to use a small heating blanket.
There was one issue I forgot to mention with my Iceco refrigerator, and it’s the cheap 12v Cigarette cable that comes with it. Some of the reviews mention a similar issue with it being able to be nudged loose and the fridge losing power. I noticed the same issue with my brothers light, they both...
