Can anyone confirm the thread size for the bed extender pivot fasteners going into the truck? Mine has spray in bed liner material in the female/truck end and I'm trying not to destroy the threads by experimenting. Thanks.

Your second paragraph with the last are confusing me. Maybe I'm just tired. If the flat is history I'd purchase a new matching tire and install it right rear, install current full size spare on left rear. Place 8000 mile old left rear in spare position. Or similar.

I don't have a direct answer for you. But since you posted Friday I'll share my experiences. I've used those type of connections many times. Like them a lot. Have the same concerns. Some have melted like solder while others simply shrink. So.. don't know ?
