I thought I'd give one of these a try and I...
I have one and it does use the tow hook mounting points for support. You should have the mounting points though, so no problem there. It's a stout piece of steel! Probably weighs about 20lbs. No regrets here
I love the idea of this, but still want to keep the ability to fold my topper so am reluctantly clinging on to my homebrew rack.
But damn this rack looks nice..
Big fan of how pushed out these ditch lights sit on the sdhq brackets. Redid my ditch lights with these auxbeam triangular lights. More spot vs flood than ideal for a ditch light, but they're great for hostile drivers ?
My ranger is light years ahead in the snow compared to my old XJ. The longer wheelbase helps a lot. Subaru vs Ranger? I'd assume the Subaru to be slightly better unless you're talking about deep snow where more ground clearance is needed.
I love my supercab! Can't think of any disadvantages aside from weaker aftermarket support vs the supercrew. When you need the 6ft bed, it REALLY comes in handy. Plus, I sleep in mine from time to time.

I see Rangers frequently in Northern VA; maybe one Ranger on every other outing. I have only seen two other S.cabs though and one of them was a fleet vehicle--the one that got me shopping for a Ranger S.cab.
If you push it too quickly, you can push it from S to N before the button re-engages. Surprised me a bit. I make a purposeful effort to nudge it from S to D now--no button press needed to go from S to D
You got it! I had to dremel a good chunk out of the back of my marker to get it to even sit. Even then it's about 1/8" from flush. I didn't push my luck with trying to get another set since I'm using aftermarket markers. Also had to finagle the passenger front, forward most mounting screw a LOT...
My Lund branded (same as bushwacker) OE profile flares came very well packaged with foam sleeves and plastic bags surrounding each flare. But the fitment was only 95% of the way there when it was time to install.
