The dealer just texted me and advised that the Tech stated that I need the EGR Tube and Gaskets changed. The quote I got was 1040.41 plus tax. This is a chunk of change for what hopefully isn't a fishing expedition. Has anyone had this work performed before that can comment on that quote?
Update - Truck is currently at a dealership and they are working on it for internal codes that don't throw a CEL and they brought Ford Corporate into the mix. They gave it back to me once after changing out the EGR valve (under warranty), but that didn't fix the issue, so it's back with them...
So I received the sensor, changed it out, and have the same results. Cold start/cold idle and WOT exhibit no sputtering/surging/acting like it is going to die issues and cruising/stopping/warm idling do. I also did a check on my service history and saw that I had them change the plugs about...
I considered plugs, but it doesn't miss at cold start or on WOT. I do believe I will throw some money at the sensor and see what happens. I just wish it would throw a code so it could be checked out.
I run 91 Octane usually from my local Shell or Valero station. When I'm at work away from home, I run 93 Octane from the Chevron station near our quarters.
I saw those posts, but I can feel mine definitely in the light throttle and low speed range, but it also feels like there is a sputter/surge at around 2000RPM doing about 75MPH and at idle.
Happy Saturday, everyone! I did a search for the title, but I couldn't really find a pervious post that covers my issue. Yesterday, my truck started sputtering/surging while we were driving and persisted until we arrived back home. I went out later in the day and started it and it wasn't...
I am digging that color. Looks so good! If this color would've been an option back when I bought mine it would've definitely given Lightning Blue a run for it's money!
Did you ever get the pictures you were looking for and/or get the install done? I have the ARB Summit front bumper and Stedi fog lights in my garage waiting for installation. I messaged Stedi before I ordered to confirm their fit and they assured me that they would. I need to go check my...
Has anyone installed the ARB Summit Rear Bumper and kept the OEM towbar setup on their Ranger? If so, what OEM parts were utilized in the install? I don't have the factory towbar on my truck but I would like to purchase the parts needed to install them with the ARB rear bumper. I know some...
So the tire shop I had install my tires said factory PSI always no matter if you plus size or not. I was skeptical so I found a website, plugged my OEM specs in and my new tire size and it made a suggestion of 35psi compared to the factory 30psi. I have no complaints with the 35psi. It...
That's what the claim is. Top Tier gasoline is branded that way because of the extra detergents and additives in them which reportedly keeps the carbon buildup down. It is in the manual to use Top Tier and while I would assume there is a good reason for it, I am pessimistic enough to believe...
I have never heard the term Tier 1, I have always searched for Top Tier, which gas stations will have stamped on their pumps usually, at least around my hometown. We have a mom and pop gas station down the road from my house and their gasoline is Top Tier Valero gasoline but you wouldn't know...
I am looking into the OME and was wondering about the UCAs. It is comforting to hear that you had no alignment issues. Did you install the Light Load or Heavy Load kit? I am looking to add the bumper and winch down the road, so am considering the Heavy Load kit, but I am unsure if there will...
